Breakfast Topic: Make it all BoA {WoW}

Dec 17th 2009 10:18AM I thought for a second it meant "All Of Their Alts". :x

The Queue: Literally {WoW}

Dec 14th 2009 4:27PM This was outlined in the patchnotes (or here, since it's pretty much the only two places I get information from), that mobs lvl 1-5 are all neutral.

The Queue: It's just a game {WoW}

Dec 2nd 2009 12:21PM Hellfire Citadel had separate "wings", none of them shared a lockout
As does Blackrock Mountain
As does Nexus
As does Utgarde Keep

I think it's safe to say, if it's 3 instances, that's what it is-- 3 instances.

Phat Loot Phriday: Parrot Cage (Hyacinth Macaw) {WoW}

Nov 14th 2009 12:40AM They didnt unbind them. Even though your items would say "Bind on Equip", it was still flagged as being used. I tried it and it wouldnt let me post th em on the auction house saying it had been used already.

Phat Loot Phriday: Parrot Cage (Hyacinth Macaw) {WoW}

Nov 14th 2009 12:38AM Yep, way back about 3 years ago or so I got it on my warrior. Didnt realize it was that rare and "learned it" back before they had the pets turned into spells. After that conversion, the cage was in his inventory still with a BoE tag on it as if I had never used it. Tried to sell the thing but no luck. It's now on a character I never use and am about to delete. FML. :(

The OverAchiever: Guide to Hallow's End achievements {WoW}

Oct 20th 2009 8:07AM Not only that, but they can be traded among party members as long as you were in the fight with them. I got all my achievements the first day of the holiday due to the fact that in the end all i needed was the hallowed helm and one of my friends who had been there for my HH kills traded it to me since there was still time left on it, and she already had one from last year. Boom. Achievement!

3 Point makes a real-life Tankard o' Terror {WoW}

Sep 24th 2009 4:11PM I found the source button just fine, and it took me to their homepage :)

BlizzCon 2009 Insider Trader: Cataclysmic professions part two {WoW}

Aug 28th 2009 4:22PM That new fishing system sounds awesome, but I have a good feeling that it will be implemented about like the dance studios were for Wrath...

15 Minutes of Fame: Members only {WoW}

Aug 25th 2009 1:33PM Forgot to add-- Loved the article. It's nice to hear about different aspects of wow that dont involve the latest and greatest flavor of the month arena comp.

Aug 25th 2009 1:29PM I just wanted to put my 2-cents in about this topic. I've grown tired of hearing people going on and on about how evil these servers are, wondering what might be on them, etc. At times it makes me laugh, but at other times its just... /facepalm. Your account information isnt going to get magically stolen just for browsing a website. If you got hacked after checking out a free server, then you a) used the same login/password for the free server that you did for retail, like a dumbass, or b) dont browse the internet safely (ie with an updated antivirus software, firewall, etc.), like a dumbass. If you really want to know about them, go google the subject. Check out some of the more popular websites for these servers and get your questions answered.

I guess I grew up in a different time, but my MMO experiences came about through free shards of Ultima Online. Eventually starting my own with a group of friends and running it successfully for almost 6 years. After that, playing on wow servers that were up before the game went live just to check it out. Yes there are going to be more bugs than retail, that's pretty much a given for any emulated game out there, but it's not 100% crap. Admins, GMs, as well as players-- most are good people that just dont feel it warranted to pay $15 a month for a game they might play an hour or two every other day. In some cases, the free option actually gets you better gameplay, better connection speeds, better features, better "customer service" than the real thing! My personal belief is that Blizzard isnt going to see a dime from them anyway, usually if you play on a free server, if that service didnt exist, you just wouldnt play.

I know that if I ever quit wow, I would look up some of the free servers to check them out (at the very least just to check out any content that I hadnt been able to see).
