Apr 15th 2009 5:48AM Me! Me! Pick the little Gnome Rogue
Pretty please with sugar on

Mar 6th 2009 7:37AM I think the comments about hacked accounts are over blown. I was in a very large Guild for 2 years and in that time only two accounts were hacked...at least one through stupidity and the total gold stolen no more than 10,000g
Hacking, Keylogging and botting are all fundamentally wrong, morally and ToC, but I have less of an issue with people who farm gold to sell especially is they are doing it the 'hard way'.
Let's face it, you can't buy 'real' epics just 2 or three crafted ones per class, so the real work goes in to instancing and raiding. Unless we want to eliminate the time restricted but high quality players from the game (and some of you may do) I see no reason why those who choose to, cannot buy gold. In fact I am surprised that Blizzard don't have official sources for this the same as many other games do (see many Facebook applications, Mafia Wars for example)
The choice is there people. Do it or don't do it. I really truely do not support cheating through hacks, bots and cheats, but trading your time and effort in return for real money and by providing a product and service for which there is a demand... isn't that called capitalism?
Dec 11th 2008 7:16AM Why do you need so many buttons?
 sinister strike
and now I have respecc'd HaT
I don't even have to faceroll anymore!
Dec 11th 2008 6:43AM I respecc'd for the HaT DPS last night with another rogue in the same guild. He pug'd that PvP raid that opens up and I went off to do 5 mans.
Strath sucks for that spec. 2 mages in the party who ran around like headless chickens arcane blasting, left me doing a lot of running around for no great purpose. UtKeep and Gundar much better but the DPS on recount was coming out at 1150--1200 which was not wildly different to my previous combat spec. I am still running sword/ dagger which may be wrong as I have cqc talented but not sword. I had hoped to drop Greed in Strath but wasn't to be.
My buddy in the 10 man however (who was running Greed/Titanium Shanker) was ecstatic about his dps, claiming that he was basically spamming eviserate.
What I would really appreciate is an analysis of cycles, especially from the opener . What glyphs are best? I guess Eviserate replaces Rupture and SnD stay but Vigor ?
Should I run double DP and spam Envenom instead of Evis?
My first impressions of the HaT spec is that it is viable but not outstanding for 5 man, but 10 mans will be fun and 25 man with 2 or three rogues will be unbelievable. I have read of 5000+ DPS... eat that you buffet providing mage scumbags, lol!
Nov 6th 2008 10:44AM Got the usual ones Jenkins, Champion, Ambassador, Diplomat /yawn
What I really want is Salty and to name change to Chocolateballz :)
Nov 5th 2008 10:09AM Am I weird? My main is a rogue and my guildies laugh at me because I hate BG's and I am not wild about duelling although arena with a couple of useful buddies is fun... but I love BGs on my mage!
It seems strange that I hate PvP on a class that others QQ about being OP but love it with a clothie class...
I love being knee deep in PvE mobs with my swords up a bosses jacksie, but in the BGs it is so much more fun to be at max range scattering fireballs or arcane bolts at preoccupied opposition trying to take down our warriors!
Nov 5th 2008 8:49AM This Vigour glyph thing intrigues me... this means 120 energy? With appropriate gear (that gives +10 energy) does that make 130? Doesn't this actually answer Mutilate/Backstab rogues complaints about hi energy cost of their max damage openers/finishers, I mean a 20% and maybe 30% boost to the enegy pool has to help some? I keep hearing Mutilate is the way to go, and daggers are more fun than swords from a pure play point of view but...
I am a combat PvE rogue. KS does mean that I get a useful boost in PvP on the odd occasion I have my sorry backside dragged in there, but mostly it is just fun for PvE... blade flurry/KS finish on a single mob is truely devastating, plus if you are doing even heroic 5 mans with a decent pally tank the other 2 dps are almost decoration since the patch nerf!
Oct 30th 2008 7:20AM This Heirloom stuff sounds great but does this mean the lowlevel BGs will be dominated by combat rogues toting 120dps swords at level 19? Not to mention huge stamina/resilience etc?
This will really make the BG's suck for 'normal' players
Oct 23rd 2008 5:15AM I would like to agree with all the positives written above.
Chase, you seem to be a writer who can translate the ultra detailed into language that mere mortals understand. I have huge admiration for ElitistJerks, but when I have questions I do find they live up to the broader sense of their name! (It's fair enough, they exist to serve the nerds not n00bs)
However if you could craft an essay on why there seems to be so much talk about Mutilate builds as the raid spec in WotLK I would be grateful.
Plus please could you explain why +Hit seems to have been backed away from and +Agi being the uber stat to stack... if I even have that correct!
There is a huge role for you to fill here, Chase, as translator to the masses who, even if they understand the math, don't have the time to trawl through hundreds of pages of discussion to evealuate it.
Oct 21st 2008 7:57AM We group up in 5's and do the daily 5 times. Rather than looking at it as others mooching I prefer to think that 4 friends and I have 5 goes to get the gear/loot we want. Of course we all need roll on the rare mounts, of course we all need roll on the party hats.
Bottom line is that we can do this 5 times a day and all have a fair shout at winning.
I sort of see where the original questioner was coming from, but presumably if you invite someone in to help who has already done the daily then they are HELPING you and deserve a roll? And if it was a PUG player then I think it is outrageous even to think of not giving them a roll... guildies might owe you something, or pass if your need for the trinket/item was greater than theirs but why would a stranger? I see no mention of repair bills and time be recompensed.
Maybe I am just lucky. I belong to a big friendly Guild where any sort of selfish behaviour is frowned upon and we all muck in to help each other achieve.
