US PvP free character transfers {WoW}

Jan 15th 2009 4:45PM @silverdragon

I wouldn't transfer to Tortheldrin if I had to choose again. I transferred off Bleeding Hollow with my guild to escape the 800+ queue. Tortheldrin's queue isn't quite as bad, but it has some *terrible* server lag, which I did not experience on Bleeding Hollow.

From now on, I am going to make a lowbie on the server to monitor the population and server response and wait until I get the announcement they're closing transfers before making my decision.

Arcanite Ripper gets a model change in patch 3.0.8 {WoW}

Jan 15th 2009 4:37PM I was not intending the comment to be rude but to point out his error. I am very aware of my mistake, but I would assume articles written professionally to be free of such obvious mistakes confusing "it's" and "its". After all, they're getting paid for this!

Could you still understand my sentence even with absence of a comma separating the two independent clauses? However, using "it's" instead of "its" is just plain wrong. I would have to assume you meant an entirely different word.

Technical mistakes, such as not using a comma where appropriate, are okay to me; it takes nothing away from the sentence like a misspelled word or misuse of a word would. But then again, I'm a software engineer. I get annoyed when people use "void main()" intentionally where an English writer would for not using a comma in my previous post.

Wowinsider's writers need to pay more attention to the quality of their articles. Yes, pointing out grammatical and spelling errors is annoying, but it does not excuse the first party from making them. I have read too many articles on Wowinsider with similar mistakes, and if the article is riddled with errors, I have to stop reading, which is something Wowinsider and their sponsors don't want happening.

And when will they EXPAND the articles width-wise?! I might as well run on a 800x600 resolution. Anyway, I'm done ranting.

By the way, your use of the colon is incorrect.

Arcanite Ripper gets a model change in patch 3.0.8 {WoW}

Jan 15th 2009 1:48PM "It's [sic] new model is much cooler, but it's a little sad to see that model go."

"Its new model ..."

I know it is an easy mistake when typing with someone in real-time but if you get into the habit of expanding the "it's" contraction while reading, it will make the mistake easier to spot and more annoying.

Compare gear easily with Pawn {WoW}

Jan 5th 2009 11:40PM I use Pawn with RatingBuster. I think the two addons' features are not mutually exclusive but compliment each other to give you a better idea of what stats you are sacrificing or gaining.

On Pawn's Curse webpage, there is a link to an unofficial forum with weighted scales (http://pawnmod.trenchrats.com/index.php) but you can also use Wowhead's weighted scales, or come up with ones on your own.

Spiritual Guidance: Wrath Priest leveling guide from 70 to 75 {WoW}

Nov 17th 2008 2:06PM Getting to level 80 quickly lets you start on getting the pre-raid gear, which I believe is where the fun really is, not spending hours on end killing X for Y. I agree that there are some lore quest chains that's really interesting (and fun) but for the most part leveling is not fun.

Realms offline until at least 6:00pm EST [Updated] {WoW}

Nov 11th 2008 7:57PM You're not a "bliz hater"? Didn't you just say a few comments above "i agree.Fuck them"?

@285 (Bacevicius): Wow. Nice stretch from downtime because of mail system to gold farmers' ban.
