Nov 15th 2011 6:33PM I often drive 8+hours to visit friends. In fact, I once drove 10 hours to go meet my guildmates with no intentions of sexing them up at all. Not at all interested in men.
I have plenty of platonic friends, both men and women, who have visited me, and whom I visit. I am also in the middle of BF nowhere, so in order for me to get anywhere I have a long, long drive.
BUT... the above situation does sound weird and creepy. I DO condone communication and talking and the like. Robbie, talk to the gal. Maybe the older guy is completely gay and this is 100% platonic, maybe it isn't.

Oct 25th 2011 6:22PM I left one guild for varying degrees of the following:
Your raid leader is horrible and verbally abusive.
You are not having fun.
You severely dislike or disapprove of another player who is supported by the guild.
You have a disruptive player in the guild and the GM won't do anything about it.
The culture of your guild changes and you don't like it.
You have a personality conflict with a fellow guildie who is never going to quit or be kicked out of the guild.
We had a recruiter who kept recruiting people that long time guildies have had legitimate problems with. Like, verbally abusive, not knowing how to play types. I ended up leaving the right way, politely, after expressing my concern to the guild leader.
A year later, he apologized to me and said he should have listened to myself and others who had concerns because I know that the guild hemorraged a lot of players.
And, well, I left another guild primarily due to an abusive guild/raid leader. Life is too short to put up with crap!

Aug 7th 2011 3:00PM I'll fade. I've already started losing interest, but I hang on for some friends. I took some commissions to pay for the play time, because I don't want to play enough for it to come out of my budget.
I figure I'll stop playing completely by the end of the year, but who knows?

I remember when they patched this, and I also remember when it became broken a couple of patches later. (And has since been hotfixed)
It was so immature, but hilarious.

Feb 26th 2011 3:06PM Due to being in school, I've just been leveling/gearing up. Every now and again I offtank a raid or two, but I'm not able to commit any time.
