Breakfast Topic: Do you like PvP? {WoW}

Apr 3rd 2012 11:27AM This. Sadly battlegrounds have become all about "ZOMG FAST HONOR GO GO" for a lot of people these days. A large majority of players no longer want to play the battlegrounds (especially AV) in the way in which they are supposed to be played, they just want honor as quickly as possible so they can get out of there.

The funny thing about this is that if people want more honor, the team needs to win... yet they insist on zerging to the AV bosses and standing around doing nothing while the other side caps the towers and bunkers.

Those same people then have the audacity to abuse everyone else in chat for our side losing.

I love battlegrounds but some players really do ruin it for everyone else.

Breakfast Topic: How did you get your friends to come back? {WoW}

Mar 25th 2012 8:57AM My wife was very adamant about not playing WoW again because it was "boring". She also didn't like her main character anymore and was not going to a level a new one.

The scroll of resurrection saved me. She loved the idea of a brand new 80 and only having to level through the Cataclysm zones.

Thanks Blizzard. I can now play again without wife aggro.

The OverAchiever: Help update our list of evil achievements {WoW}

Feb 9th 2012 11:34PM I am a proud recipient of the Insane achievement and title. I also completed Shen'dralar which was required for Insane pre-Cataclysm.

Getting exalted with Shen'dralar and pre-4.3 Darkmoon Faire were the most irritating things I have ever done in WoW. That said, I don't regret one second of it.

It kept me occupied for many months that I probably wouldn't have played WoW otherwise. I also have a sense of accomplishment knowing I did it. Pointless? Absolutely - but I'm still happy I did it.

Strangely enough I was bored with WoW for a while after I did finally finish Insane. Slowly getting back in to the game now :)

Breakfast Topic: What was your most memorable noob moment? {WoW}

Dec 2nd 2011 8:30AM Back in 2007 my undead mage first crossed from Tirisfal Glades to Western Plaguelands around level 7. A huge spider killed proceeded to appear from nowhere and killed me. I had no idea what had happened. It was the first time I saw the skull in place of the mob's level.

A lvl 60 who saw that happen and told me I was too low to be in that area. I stayed the hell away from those spiders until I was higher level. Then I took out my revenge.

Fun times.

Opt-out option incoming for recent authenticator security change {WoW}

Jul 26th 2011 8:56PM "It doesn't make it any less safe to require login every time. It's the illusion of security that most people want."

How do we know that Blizzard's system of determining which computer I should be logging in to is fool proof? I'm not saying Blizzard is stupid, but I trust myself with my security more than I trust them.

At least by having to input the code every time I know that no one else can access my account if I have the authenticator. The current system adds uncertainty that was never there before. Illusion or not.

"You paid for the authenticator to keep your account secure. It's still secure, just in a more efficient way."

I personally paid for the authenticator because I wanted to input the code every time.

Like I said, I have never had a virus, keylogger or anything similar and I have never had my account compromised. I don't really need an authenticator but I like what it does.

It takes a few seconds to type the code. It was never a big deal in the first place. I don't recall ever reading complaints about having to input the code every time, so it makes me wonder why Blizzard even interfered with this system in the first place.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
