Senna documentary debuts at Sundance {Autoblog Archive}

Jan 30th 2011 10:46PM He was my childhood hero and I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I found out he had died. I stopped watching F1 for 10 years after that and only returned years later. I will never forget my hero in that yellow helmet...

Dec 15th 2010 8:27PM Lotus BDA engines are now worth serious money, last one I saw built cost the other $50,000

Report: Formula 1 engines could go four-cylinder turbo in 2013 {Autoblog Archive}

Dec 6th 2010 10:53PM FIA should use a different formula: You can have whatever car, engine and driver combination you like, sky's the limit: except your team budget cannot exceed $XX,000,000. That's the only rule.

This will:

1) Eleviate all of the issues behind teams dominating due to superior funding and budgets which are the main arguments for restrictions in the first place
2) Make a very interesting race series where F1 really is cutting edge of motorsport once again
3) Make a very interesting race weries where no two cars are alike. Turbos, v8's, v12's whatever you want so long as it's within budget

If they went to this type of formula, each year you will get extreme advances in engine and chassis technology which can then filter through to the principal party funding the teams in the first place, the manufacturers. Imagine a honda, renault or mercedes turbo rotary hybrid with 1200bhp costing about $30,000 to build. This will be the enventual outcome in many years to come.

In a way the rules that FIA makes puts themselves further out of touch with reality

Forum post of the day: Rookie Mistakes {WoW}

Jun 17th 2008 7:40PM When you're a newbie, the world just seemed so huge.

The best thing I remember travelling to Darnassas from Iron Forge and I "felt" that I was soooo far from home, almost a RL feeling of "OMG I am miles and miles from anywhere" and actually feeling sad/nervous about it...

Do botters really matter? {WoW}

Jun 9th 2008 9:38PM Lets put it into a different context. Botters want similar things: Gold, Level up quickly, Gear, yes?

So for Blizzard to condone botting, is to say that it is OK for Blizzard just give everybody who wants it Black Temple gear and be done with it. No need to raid for hours and hours and go through the hard work of guilds and organising 25 man raids. Simply download this software and it will give you T6 gear... Simply install this software and you too can have 10,00gp. Simply configure this software and you too can have a level 70 toon.

And this is OK for you?

The future of Heroic attunements {WoW}

Jun 9th 2008 8:53PM My comment would be if they remove or lower the attunement too far, we would have complete newbies running wanting to run a heroic version of a dungeon, which in my mind is sort of a strange situation. Heroics are meant to be just that, a higher level setting of an instance.

You should at least run the instance once to familiarise yourself in normal mode before having a go at heroic. I feel MgT's "Run normal once" requirement is a good way to make sure people have at least seen this instance once in normal mode and are not completely newbie to the intance.

Ask WoW Insider: Any point to starting to raid before Wrath? {WoW}

Jun 4th 2008 11:51PM Your epic 70 gear will last you deep into mid 70's before it will get replaced by WotLK greens and blues...

Is Karazhan no longer for entry level raiders? {WoW}

May 18th 2008 10:17PM You use Kara for one reason, we use kara for other reasons. It's a raid with many uses. It's an entry level raid and that's what it always will be. Because your guild is on Kara Farm, does not mean we need to change Kara globally to only allow experienced toons in with a Be-imba score beyond BT.

Undocumented changes so far in patch 2.4 {WoW}

Mar 26th 2008 6:37PM I agree with Wazim, a VERY big undocumented change is the PVP BG omitting opponents' servers from the list. This prevents pug groups from spotting premaids and bouncing
