Officers' Quarters: Surviving as a small guild {WoW}

Dec 20th 2010 3:31PM I agree with your comment about keeping the guild XP for achievements. There are nights and days, especially during the week where it's really hard to reach that max. If Achievements counted then on those night we could go back into BC or MC and make up for it.

I'm just glad they didn't remove the option of gaining guild reputation from doing achievements. So alts can gain rep a little easier.

Officers' Quarters: Surviving as a small guild {WoW}

Dec 20th 2010 3:28PM Once a guild obtains a reward they never loose it, even if the person who joined the guild helped them obtain it. That means if you reach level 25 and suddenly remove everyone from the guild you still have all the Perks and all the rewards that were earned while you had those members.

So it is possible for large guilds that are now heavily recruiting to later clean up.

So it is something to be aware off. Find a guild that you want to be with because of the members, not because of the perks they have.

Officers' Quarters: Surviving as a small guild {WoW}

Dec 20th 2010 3:18PM I do that think as soon as some of those very large guilds reach level 25 they won't have a great need for many of their members and they'll start trimming.
Our guild, Parallelguild.com has held of on recruitment because we don't want members that are only looking for these perks. We want people that are friendly, understand that real life comes first, if you have to drop group in the middle of a heroic, that's fine, that's real life.
In saying all that, the perks are nice, having rank 5 with cash flow allows us to increase the guild repair money.

Nov 17th 2010 1:55PM If I want to learn how to fly in the old world where should I go. Do I have to learn it in Dalaran or Outland. Since all portals are being removed it would be nice if I could pick this up in Stormwind.

Breakfast Topic: Healers are the drummers of WoW {WoW}

Jan 7th 2010 10:35AM nice analogy, each person plays the way they like, and in their own right create great music. Bring them together and you've got a band. But, without the lead singer they die and burn very quickly.

I've been able to kill plenty of 5 man bosses with some great guitarists and no drums. It sucks, but I can do it.

Elemental Shaman Tier 10 bug causes 7-day lockout {WoW}

Jan 4th 2010 1:09PM I know that the workaround for hunters is to go into the arena and use the Call Stable Pet ability to reset resets the cooldown. Does the same solution work for shamans?

Potential character model revisions in Cataclysm {WoW}

Nov 24th 2009 2:35PM Can you do a poll on this, I'd really like to see what the wow.com views think, do you want to see the character models updated?

Patch 3.3 PTR: New totems for trolls {WoW}

Oct 2nd 2009 9:46AM the totem that everyone is showing isn't the new dwarf totem, it's the new Tauren totem

If someone hadn't put a sticker on it saying Tauren, would you honestly think it was a dwarf totem?

it's a pole, with feathers sticking out of it, it's the new Tauren totem!

Sep 26th 2009 10:38AM Graymain city, do you mean greymain manor? That will exist and will be seperate from gilneas (city). But so far a lot of the pictures they have shown are or gilneas and that will be the level 1 to 5 starting zone along with an instanced battlegroung at later levels.
They hinted that you will be able to go back into phased areas to help people out but it's not clear how that will work or if you could go back to gilneas before the invasion.
