Dec 10th 2009 10:30PM Why not just print QR codes on receipts? That way, anyone with a cameraphone can scan them and process them, no peripherals or smartphones required.

If you look at the compressed bytes pie chart in the linked study, computer games are about 1/2, all TV is about 1/3, and the rest totals about 1/6, with phone at only 0.04%

It's counting words, not bytes.

It's actually not twice as big, but four times as big, since screen size is proportional to the square of the diagonal length. So it's like having four of your phone screens glued together, and it's pretty big.
That said, I don't really see where this fits in. This is almost certainly going to be more expensive than a netbook, so unless I really really love touchscreens, I'll go with a netbook, since they're the same size and the netbook has a keyboard and stuff that I can do a lot more with.

I did, and again, how often am I going to open Photoshop?
If I'm a professional who uses Photoshop, probably once when I start my computer.
If I use it only occasionally, I'll start it only occasionally.
Dec 3rd 2009 12:44AM Honestly, what's so great about being able to boot up that fast? I dual boot, and even then I reboot at most 1-2 times a day. The 30 second difference between the HD and SSD is going to affect me not at all.

Aren't all the android phones except the droid HVGA 3.2"?

But if I'm going to plug in the dongle, I might as well just plug in the cord...
Nov 28th 2009 3:28PM Nice. I've played around with emulation on Android, but it's just not the same as a real console since the buttons are so much worse. The Wiimote should fix that, though.
