Dec 10th 2009 11:54AM The hilt drop rate nerf annoys me. Mostly because Blizzard knew the drop rate was high, when it was on PTR, it wasn't a bug. But instead of changing the drop rate before it went on live, they gave everyone who managed to get it day 1, an unfair advantage. Yeah, i'm bitter about that (and slightly jealous) but its a bit late to call it a mistake when half the WoW population now has the damn thing and now most people who weren't lucky enough to get it, will never see it again. Ah well, rant over.
All the loot lost from chest in Hall of Reflections was a tad annoying (did it once on normal, then on heroic) but thankfully they've fixed that now.
Nov 29th 2009 6:30PM In this case, i really don't think it matters if she leaves the guild or not, they will still be on the same server and therefore could still whisper each other. I've heard of this kind of thing a lot from playing wow and it generally never ends well. In this case, the guy is playing with fire. He could lose his wife over something pretty un-meaningful.
Nov 3rd 2009 11:22PM Such a good change but waaay overdue.
Aug 22nd 2009 12:18PM I'm not even interested in BF:BC2. I'll take MW2 over that any day. New maps for 1943 seems like a no-brainer and it surprises me new maps aren't being worked on... Its like saying no to free money. Obviously they want BF:BC to sell but they shouldn't ignore there over product. Reminds me of Call of Duty 4... That only ever got 1 map pack, when they could have made more and made a lot of money, just like WaW is now but they left it too late.
Jul 16th 2009 8:57PM Speaking as a UK gamer, i think the price for this is ridiculous. I have an average paying job at best and to me, spending £40 on a new game was always a lot of money, especially considering... you know not all gamers have mums and dads that pick up the bills after them. While the pound £ may have dropped slightly in worth, i still feel £40 is still a lot for new games. £55 however just shows what a big "F*** you" Activision is saying to us in UK buying there games. I personally can't believe anyone would actually believes its because of the pounds worth excuse, especially since publishers have been charging Europe so much for games for the past year now.
Still its an incredibly smart business move, as they know us hardcore gamers will pay it in order to play Modern Warefare 2. A dick move, non the less.
Publishers bitch and moan about used sales and well, this is a big example of why gamers choose to buy used, instead of new. Activision will likely get away with this but if this happened in North America, there would be more of an uproar about a price jack.
Jul 7th 2009 9:44AM So 3 maps for 800 MS points.... Uhhhh no thanks. I love Halo Wars but i refuse to buy DLC when it is stupidly priced, just as the first Halo Wars DLC.
Jul 3rd 2009 7:15PM Really hoping Basutei returns for illegal danish 3. That Paladin was so funny in the first.
May 24th 2009 9:58PM I'd agree with you but some people like to do more than just raid all the time. New 5 mans and daily quests can keep people entertained while they aren't raiding.
Personally speaking, my guild has a lot more Ulduar to do (especially nailing hardmodes down) but when i'm not raiding, i go back to leveling an alt because i've done almost everything else there is to do at 80. (Reputations -done, Argent tournament champion with every faction done ect...)
May 24th 2009 9:50PM I like Blizzards equipment manger. Its simple and basic, which is what i think they were aiming for. It doesn't over complicate things and its quick and easy to use. What more can you ask for really? I think most peoples complaints are really petty... "Oh it doesn't change my gear for me when i change spec!". Well how about you spend 1 second and click the set of gear you want to use instead of wanting everything automated? Like many people have pointed out, not everyone wants their gear changed to match their current spec and if they do, its 1 button or hotkey press away.
May 18th 2009 11:24PM It wouldn't surprise me, if in the future they cap how many players can enter the zone. Wintergrasp is popular because its some of the best "epic" PvP to happen to WoW for a long time. There are a ton of players that hate Arena and Battlegrounds but love jumping into Wintergrasp where they can fight with their own realm for control over the zone and Blizzard are stupidly trying to find petty ways of putting people off, though in this case, i really don't think this will work for them as the dailies aren't what is attracting people to the zone.
