Breakfast Topic: How's the Guild Finder working for you? {WoW}

Dec 8th 2011 6:15AM We have the same problem. Not a single applicant seem to have been online after the applied to join the guild. I refuse to believe that every single one put in a application and then stop playing.
Also it seems that it is only our GM that can see the applications and respond to them, officers that are allowed to invite should also be able to see applications, maybe that will improve the chances to catch applicant online:-)

Breakfast Topic: How do you want WoW crafting to change? {WoW}

Oct 3rd 2011 10:14AM In Star Wars: Galaxies you could mine for materials that could come in a variety of qualities.
Better quality materials used would make better items.
People would travel a long way to your shop if they heard that you had great quality mats or items for sale.
I miss that. If you make a sword, it is just as good (or bad) as the next guy. You have no way of going the extra mile, put some effort in and make something that is just a bit better.

Breakfast Topic: Has Cataclysm been a game-changer for you? {WoW}

Apr 10th 2011 7:09PM @cyanea;

Votaene is a Danish word that means written or oral statement that expresses a persons standing in a case or his/hers vote in the case.

Hope this makes sense :-)

WoW Rookie: Basic add-ons {WoW}

Nov 12th 2009 3:37AM Bug grabber and Bug sack, they are the first add-ons that I install on a new WOW install. They are life savers.

Did you finish the Fire Festival? {WoW}

Jul 7th 2009 4:06AM Ya, I finished all of the achievements on day one. Did the fires again when they reset them and then went hunting for the pet.
It dropped twice for me and I lost the roll every time.
Well, there's always next year :-)

Windows 7 pre-orders begin, now (update: but not for Europe) {Engadget}

Jun 26th 2009 7:30AM I'm so happy that I switched to Mac many many years ago. No more hassle with Microsoft's weird version politics.
$26 for a OS upgrade is my kind of price.
As soon as we find the money at work, then we are ditching the PC's there too.
We have skipped Vista and still run XP Pro. Never had any confidence in Vista.
Tried installing the Vista Ultimate version at home and it was a big pile of crap. There was no way in hell that I wanted to upgrade our office machines to that.

Breakfast Topic: What do you think of region-specific pets? {WoW}

Jun 15th 2009 4:16AM Here in Denmark we also have a lot of the big multi national companies but the advertising budget is awful small. Apple f.ex. never advertised in Denmark, the local retailers had to do all the marketing here.
Even if they get a huge amount of money to advertise I doubt that the marketing guy even know what Word of Warcraft is and how they could use it to promote the product.
A cheesy commercial is the preferred method.
As a european player I sometimes feel a bit short changed by Blizzard and associated partners.
On the other hand, I do understand why a company won't pay for a campaign in a country where the product is not sold.
Trade legislation is also prohibiting Blizzard to offer mount reward for the "recruit a friend" in Denmark.

Tank Talk: The better (and lesser) angels of our nature {WoW}

Jun 13th 2008 3:30AM When TBC came out I wanted to level a Shaman. I have played alliance all my "wow" lift and thought it would be fun to try a shammy.
At this point I had a NE warrior and we made a schedule in the guild so everyone could have some time off and the guild cold get into kara.
Then some of the tanks did not show up on their kara shift and I had to step in and tank anyway.
in the end it got too much for me and I saw the only solution was to delete my level 70 warrior.
This was the only way I could get some time to play on some of my other toons.
I since then made a new warrior but he is DPS atm. and I would like for him to stay that way. But lately we had some major set back in kara due to bad tanks and I may have to gear him up for tank duty again.
My problem atm. with warrior tanking is, that I find it hard/frustrating to tank multiple mobs especial in SH(h) and MgT. Paladins and druids seem so much better at this. Generally I think they tank better as long as it is not a boss and then they can do all the other stuff in the game. As a protection warrior and more or less have to wait for someone needing me in an instance, no PvP for me.

Priestess Delrissa, bringing a little PvP to your PvE {WoW}

Mar 31st 2008 4:31AM I have decided to never set foot inside MgT again.
My tank have 789 lifetime honor, collected in Silitus while leveling up. I do not PvP at all.
If people want to PvP they have all the opportunity to do so in BG or the Arena and I resent that I will be forced into playing PvP just because I want to go into an instance.
The fact that I sux at PvP and that few or none of my skills are any good in PvP makes me resent it even more.
