Jun 21st 2010 8:49PM Elmo, living in one country is no excuse not to know what goes on around the world. We live in a worldwide economy these days, and stuff that happens abroad has a lot of consequences on what happens in the US. From political changes in other countries, to business deals and everything in between.
So perhaps knowing who carries the iPhone abroad isn't necessarily a very important thing to know, but not caring about the rest of the world is certainly a mark of ignorance.
And for what it's worth, Apple is an american company bringing dollars into the US by selling iPhones abroad, so there's a good reason to care about it, particularly if you own stock in Apple.
Jun 21st 2010 8:33PM It's kinda ironic to see such an article, when not long ago, on AB Green, there was an article on the same subject pointing that the batteries in the 10-year old Rav4 EV still work just fine... It also mentions the 10-year warranties on batteries that put the manufacturer on the hook if that prediction came true. So which is it, AB?
The article is here: http://green.autoblog.com/2010/06/17/daily-mail-columnist-goes-off-the-deep-end-criticizing-electri/
Jun 8th 2010 9:59AM @Matt314 Really now? That's actually not the case anymore. You probably should read up on the new stuff, this isn't the 90s or the early 2000s.
