Sep 21st 2009 10:09AM Whilst tanking DTK yesterday on my purely ilvl200 geared prot pally I mused the thought that heroics for none-raid geared tanks have actually just got a whole lot harder! Why? Because all the damn dps expect you to pull the whole room and keep aggro off their 4k dps backsides whilst they AOE the hell out of everything. When you politely request the run goes at a slightly lower pace you get lamented and told to L2P.
Yeah OK so that's PUGS but I still think it's a valid point and one Blizz need to be careful with.

Jul 22nd 2009 10:10AM My plan has always been a max level of every class with all the professions maxed out across them. I've just picked up my shammy again which will then leave me with only a rogue to level.
This was just a long winded way of saying "No, there's no such thing as too many alts". :-)
I think this question gets asked so often because players feel they need to spend their play time constructively and leveling alts isn't seen as constructive for some bizarre reason.

Jul 15th 2009 5:53PM Believe me Eliah they couldn't be further apart. The client/server architecture of a web app is chalk and cheese to the WoW net code. In fact the WoW net code whilst it has it's faults is stunningly efficient and most likely one of Blizzard's proudest pieces of IP. Client/Server in a web app is just straightforward two way comms. Think about it, the Blizzard servers are effectively broadcasters, never talking to a single client but broadcasting everything about anything to everyone else!
I'll grant you they both share the commonality that they're never "done" but then what piece of software ever is? :-)

IMVHO the mounted combat is quite frankly the most frustrating and cumbersome game mechanic I've ever experienced in ANY game.
