Sep 18th 2008 11:54PM I have 4 70's now, and my mage was my main right from when I first installed WoW and rolled her, up until 2-3 months ago when I decided to become a full time holy priest. My poor mage tries to heal people, acccidentally iceblocks (same hotkey as the priests mass dispell...) and all sorts of things. It takes me at least half an hour of playing to be familiar with WHO I'm playing.
Apr 13th 2008 8:54PM I'm from Australia, playing on a US server, raiding at Oceanic times, and our normal raiding time is marred by huge lag spikes, unable to loot, lagging out to a dc entering new zones... So I think your comment -
"The biggest problem, which you failed to mention in your post, is that Blizzard have admitted that a new "background process" has been introduced with the release of 2.4.
Evidently at some point it was decided that this process, be it related to the new honour calculations or a backup process, should run during Oceanic peak play time. Oceanic players were not considered at all when this was decided, and quite obviously Blizzard have got themselves into a bit of a fix here. Whatever it is that is responsible for the lag is obviously an integral part of the 2.4 code."
is entirely feasible. I don't know if it makes those on Oceanic realms feel better...but you aren't alone. Our play time sucks at the moment.
Apr 10th 2008 9:13PM I forgot to mention that my boyfriend (a hunter) uses his focus frame for Misdirecting.
Apr 10th 2008 7:51PM I don't think you would be able to achieve this without a macro and/or extra keystrokes.
Apr 10th 2008 7:45PM I LOVE the focus frame. On my mage its essential for her sheeping, I couldn’t live without it anymore. On my priest I use it for the shackle as well, so that I don’t have to retarget. When I am not shackling, I generally have my MT focussed and all of my heal spells are macros…standard hotkey for on the target, alt + hotkey for the focus, ctrl + hotkey for myself.
I also have shadowfiend macro’d as a target of target so that I don’t have to target the boss in intensive healing situations. I never thought about macro’ing shadowfiend (and starshards, lol!) to my focus’ target…I’ll have to get on it!
Apr 7th 2008 7:23PM My boyfriend and I play together, raid together, do dailies together, farm together...We live apart at the moment, and we both know that once we move in together, we probably won't play WoW as much :) WoW isn't any trouble at all for us because it's still 'together time', and when we are both online we make the effort to not abandon each other for other groups. Also, his prot pally alt is now 70, as is my holy priest alt - There's the start of a 5 man group!
