Breakfast Topic: What tabard do you wear? {WoW}

Aug 18th 2008 3:20PM I use the tabard of the protector since it has the cool use effect and practically no one has it anymore.

Alterac Valley, the Battle-less Battleground {WoW}

Aug 4th 2008 11:39AM I dont know about this, but maybe try fighting the alliance where they want to go, not in the middle of the map.

GO ON D THERS PLENTY OF *hks* THERE (aka, whoever zergs the most wins)

Lichborne: State of the Death Knight {WoW}

Aug 3rd 2008 12:28AM What I dont understand is why blizz would change their philosophy so much with the death knight. Currently, the trees are set up for

Blood = draining
Frost = CC
Unholy = pets

but all the trees are dps trees, and none stand out as a pvp tree like arms for warriors or sub for rogues. Thats the problem, blizz is trying to create a class not built around using talents for purpose, but using them for everything in every tree. Im very sure that they will, before the end of beta, develop blood into a pvp tree, frost into a tanking tree, and unholy into a pve dps tree. Its just a matter of time until they come to their senses that trying to make every spec do everything with this class wont work.

Lichborne: State of the Death Knight {WoW}

Aug 3rd 2008 12:24AM Degeneration should convert active heals on the target into a stacking disease, but should not continue to block hots after its applied.

Its stupid to reason that death knights in an arena should be as automatic win as a priest vs ret pally. Denying a healing class any way to heal a target (druids only use hots, mentioning healing touch is funny if you do, and flourish needs hots to heal for anything significant) is simply stupid. I wont argue that taking away only 1 hot is a extremely weak though, and it should be baseline.

Blizzard against open-sourcing Glider code {WoW}

Aug 2nd 2008 9:26PM But that just shows the flaw in the legal system regarding the ability of individuals to make programs like glider and be unstoppable in their use of it. Its blizzards game and they should maintain the right to do whatever they want with it, and glider was exclusively used on blizzard code.

Crushing blows (mostly) removed in Wrath as raiding changes {WoW}

Jul 31st 2008 9:54PM I guarantee you no one considers crushing blows an issue with killing a lvl 15 mob at lvl 5....

this change is great, and i expect even though blizz will make it so any tank COULD tank, players themselves will always use the best tank for a given situation, because rather than try a little harder to make up for a certain class tanking, they would rather have it easy using a different tank. Just because bosses can be tanked by all 4 classes doesnt mean they will be.

Even now some guilds use feral tanks on many bosses like brutallus, unless you have fights like illidan that require warriors i see no problem with removing crushing blows. They did in ZA and that instance just promoted a variety of tanks.
