Aug 21st 2008 6:27AM of course us hunters are absolute idiots - that's why we're bottom. so when I get on my druid and start winning it means that either?
a)When I load up my hunter on the character selection screen my IQ drops 50 points
b)Just by virtue of having a hunter I am an imbecile, but druids are so OP that it counteracts my moribund mind
And of course everyone whole plays rogue is just some sort of Einstein/Hawking nexus, amirite?
Aug 20th 2008 3:44PM great, so in any given battleground instance you could have every player going for different objectives ranging between winning by 2000 to winning by 10, not letting the enemy get the flag once, to letting them get it half a dozen times, rushing through or defending.
As if the 'let them win' crowd weren't annoying enough at the moment I dread to think what combinations of BS harrasment will be going on in BGs in six months time. What a mess
Jun 25th 2008 9:29AM Well it's only been up a couple of hours in the EU but when I get home from work it's S2 Shoulders, Chest and Helm for me - a nice upgrade for my recently-dinged BG-loving Orc Hunter =)
Jun 19th 2008 8:35AM I do a little bit, saluting guards, kneeling in front of important NPCs, changing into simple pants and a white shirt when I'm fishing. I think it's fun.
I'd be a bit embaressed to RP with real people though, I don't know why.
Jun 18th 2008 8:29AM at lvl69.5 (woo) on my first character at the moment and I haven't let myself be distracted by levelling alts at all - maybe it's that I have limited play-time.
there always something to distract me if questing becomes a chore, even if it's just an evening of BGs or farming leather.
oh, also, rolling a bankalt and letting her sort out my main's finances has been fun in its own right - knowing that there's 1500g waiting for me for my flyer and some other choice bits and pieces is was a great motivator when I was "stuck" at 66
Jun 13th 2008 3:54AM I'm about to turn 70 this weekend (yay) and although the concept of Arenas doesn't interest me that much, I know there's not much point in me even setting foot in there out of curiousity.
Then again I can get my rep blues as soon as I ding, I've got honour and marks saved up for some s2 so maybe I won't get completely steamrolled but BGs just seem a more entertaining form of PvP, especially when you can look out over AB from the Lumber Mill and realise that people are actually defending the flags, and talking to each other! *sobs of joy*
Jun 11th 2008 11:27AM Well, the cover artwork's not a patch on the AD&D 2nd Ed. Player's Handbook... so long since my role-playing days obviously.
Out of interest how is that market doing in the face of the huge success of the likes of WoW and the accesssibility of MMO gaming in general - is it still viable as an industry? Just curious, not trying to make a fuss.
May 20th 2008 6:46AM Hi!
Not really any of your business, so I think be supportive or don't bother. Why get involved if you're just going to trash the happy parents?
I find it interesting that women are meant to be independent and empowered these days but as soon as she misses a period society thinks it has the right to advise, control and dictate.
Thanks for stopping by though,
May 19th 2008 12:00PM To be honest there's probably a slight difference between those couples where both partners play WoW and those couples where there's just one player.
In the former, WoW becomes a means of protest - "I'm annoyed with you because you wouldn't drive my mother home so you can go whistle if you think I'm healing you through Kara tonight."
In the latter, a means of protest might be "I'm annoyed with you because you wouldn't drive my mother home so you can go whistle if you think I'm going to come to dinner with Bill and Joan tonight."
The solution is the same regardless of whether both members of the couple play WoW or not - you go on your own or you apologise. And if you're absolutely right about the original situation, like you'd had three beers and her mother lives two doors down the street, then you shouldn't be apologising. Well not straight away, anyway :)
