Sep 15th 2008 8:38AM Actually you're wrong :)
It goes 1am 2am upto 11am and then 12am
1pm 2pm upto 11pm and 12pm.
it does not go 11pm 12am 1am and likewise 11am 12pm 1pm
It doesnt make sense.
Lastly pm stands for Post Meridian as in after noon time. 1pm is 1 hour post meridian, it would not make sense for noon to be called 12 hours post meridian for obvious reasons :)
WOOT WotLK RELEASE DATE!!!!
Sep 5th 2008 8:44PM Where have you been?
WoW's population is well over the 10 million mark.
That makes the diabled player estimate ~5% which i think is probably close to true.
Certainly within my guild we have a couple of hearing and visually impaired people, it does not make much of a difference in game except to require extra attention and information gving in certain situations however they number 5 in a guild of 97 accounts.
I'll go by this estimate.
Aug 15th 2008 3:13PM Imp S-forms new wording is;
'Your Fade ability now has a 50/100% chance to remove all movement impairing effects when used while in Shadowform, and gives you a 35/70% chance to avoid interruption caused by damage when casting any Shadow spell while in Shadow form'
I read the second line after the comma as also referring to FADE, if this has been tested on Beta then fair enough I retract my comment. I wouldn't have thought blizzard would make sure a basic error though. The error being a literally useless glyph.
Aug 15th 2008 10:32AM 'FADE _ If you don't remember from the last round of glyphs, this glyphs was originally completely useless.'
imp fade in shadow tree increases chance for S-Priests to resist spell pushback. Now i know they've since that changed spell pushback however it was never a useless glyph.
Jul 29th 2008 9:29AM yes because Blizz will still design as though everyone will be chain chugging pots after they've removed them from the game...
Jul 29th 2008 9:26AM ANYONE who believes that this is a bad change is not thinking logically... There I said it, however this is not a random flame or troll post there is somthing that is being overlooked.
Those who're holding up existing BC Boss encounters and are holding them up as examples of why single pot usage is required are overlooking the fact that BC bosses are SUPPOSED to be impossible without chain pots. Chain potting is/was in the game and therefore to design any raid bosses without chain potting in mind would be to make such bosses a joke to those who WOULD chain pot.
The same can be said for Blessing of Salvation incidently, it was in such common usage the bosses were designed based on the idea that dps would be using salv.
Now almost all of us hated the necessity of brining stacks and stacks of pots to raid encounters, the necessity of having to always have BoS cast up before every fight and Blizzard has seen this and decided to do somthing about it, they're stopping the use of Chain Potting and stopping the use of BoS... This frees up more gold on other items and more variety in pally buffs!
Anyone (i'll say that in caps to make sure you pay attention) A.N.Y.O.N.E. Who believes that they'll design encounters requireing chain potting despite these changes needs to get there heads examined.
Blizz could happily remove mana regen entirely from every class and still make it possible to down every boss, they'd simply design them differently. Please PLEASE try to understand this. There is no negative result from these changes, Blizzard will make quite sure that bosses are still able to be taken down at the same difficulty level however going into WotLK they will no longer have to accoutn for a 20% reduction in threat on all DPS and a ~2k +mana per 2 minute boost on all casters / hunters.
Hopefully this will stem the tide of idiotic 'Oh noes WotLK will be impossible cos look at this old encounter' posts, however I will settle for a simple reduction.
Jun 29th 2008 7:53PM Mage beats Warrior Beats Priest Beats Paladin beats....
^^^Is less fun.
What they're trying to do is make the Arena's more dynamic. More interesting. It's not as though a waterfall comes cascading down and makes all healers immune for 15 seconds or kills all warriros or somthing, it's just another mechanic you'll have to find a way to turn to your advantage.
This is entertainment.
Jun 29th 2008 7:30PM @zach
No, alot of people roll on a PvE server because when they begin the game it is highlighted as a 'Normal' server.
To then move oevr to an entirely new realm has the benefit of being able to attack other faction players but the SERIOUS drawback of leaving the friends and guildies you have met on your current server.
I would hazard that many PvE players did not choose PvE servers for any reason other than the fact it's highlighted as 'normal' on the creation screen. It's already been said multiple times pvP servers are not significantly harder to level up on. (Search before flame please)
Jun 29th 2008 7:14PM I believe that you're being overly critical with regards to the addition of 'luck' to the proposed arena maps. While it's supposedly random in generating some of these events the exploitation of those events is somthing which will add a much needed dynamic to arena competition.
Not all of us simply want a hack and slash open field between cookie cutter match ups using strategies copied from the latest PvP website. Arena's are foremost about fun, not about epeen, please try to remember that.
Jun 25th 2008 6:01PM 'simply announcing a release date for WotLK itself would be a crushing blow to fans' expectations.'
