May 1st 2010 8:26PM I agree that this does not rule out them changing the story in the slightest. The eredar are a pretty good example of them changing things up to make gameplay/long term story changes more interesting. But I do find it odd that they specifically stated that Elune is a deity while the Naaru are not when they could have left the Elune thing wide open in order to make it tie in better to an excellent set-up like the one you provided. I believe they still have a longer term plan for Elune that would seem at odds with the theory she's a Naaru. As I said though yours is an excellent theory.
May 1st 2010 8:16PM The trouble with this theory is that Blizzard have outright stated that Elune is one of the few 'true deities' in the warcraft universe and that Naaru and also the Titans are not. This kinda rules out the possibility that Elune could be a Naaru. This info comes from the actual warcraft encyclopaedia too not just WowWiki. Though as Wowwiki's Naaru article states 'This does not preclude a connection with Elune, just that she is not one of them'.
This is a pretty good piece of reasoning though and not too far-fetched. Nothing's stopped Blizzard tweaking their own story before to make it more.. versatile. So it will be interesting to see the story unfold.
Mar 9th 2010 2:49PM Pressing Ctrl+S in game toggles the sound off for me. By which I mean they're ingame commands but to further clarify based on your previous remarks, they toggle them completely off or on. If it continues to be a problem I imagine it's something on your end. Pressing Ctrl+M also toggles the music on and off. Useful shortcuts to turn off the music while raiding et al.
Oct 13th 2009 11:19PM I can't google it for you, but I can point out that you may want to read the linked suggestion yourself and consider reading the whole sentence before jumping down peoples throats.
"It's so nice to run a raid when everyone is up to snuff on their characters and can focus entirely on what THEIR doing."
'3. Remember that they're is a contraction of the words they and are. It can never be used as a modifier, only as a subject (who or what does the action) and verb (the action itself).'
Subject - They, the people doing the DPS.
Verb - Doing.
"focus on what they're doing.*"
That said I don't see the point in jumping on the author consistantly every time there is a mispelling in a blog post. The authors are just human and mistakes and accidents happen.
Also in relation to the article itself, the hardest people to help are usually the ones who won't help themselves. Most people can be encouraged along by a few kind words and a helpful explanation of going wrong. You do get some people who consistantly won't listen or are convinced they're in the right who won't listen but I think those people are a minority and the vast majority of poorer players just needs the right encouragement and patience.
Sep 21st 2009 6:17PM 'Cadge', slang term used in Britain meaning to steal, beg or borrow. 'Can I cadge a cigarette.' is the most common example I've heard.
Sep 7th 2009 8:45PM They're called hobgoblins. They're the Goblin's dumb as a sack of gravel labourer/slave creatures. They've been around in external WoW lore for a while (The RPG), but not made an in-game appearance to now. I imagine they'll be up to their crazy labouring/slaving tricks in the expansion or they would be if they knew how to spell tricks.
Sep 1st 2009 9:20PM Ease your mind friend, it said 'hundreds of new quests', as in multiples of 100. I double and triple checked the Cataclysm trailer. For researches sake of course.
