Hunter solos Utgarde Keep {WoW}

Apr 27th 2009 7:18PM Yes, 'cause clever abuse of one spell in the at the time top raid instance is comparable to a hunter utilising the numerous abilities available to their class in an intelligent and skilled manner and in an entry level dungeon. I think not.

The Queue: Ulduar progression and more {WoW}

Mar 10th 2009 3:42PM If you actually read that chain you'd note in the last quest turn in text it explicitly says that Humans are descended from Vrykul. The hows are still being pondered but we'll find out eventually I imagine. The Dwarves are a derivative species from the Earthen probably connected with the 'Curse of Flesh' we hear about in Borean Tundra. The information for this is actually from vanilla WoW quests. For more information on this you can check out the quest entries on Wowhead where there are normally transcriptions of the quest text or failing that comments stating 'ZOMG Vrykul are humanz!!1!!one'. The quest in Uldaman at the final boss for the Dwarf information and the airstrip in Borean Tundra for the Gnome and 'Curse of Flesh' information and quests.

Hope that helps. :3

All the World's a Stage: So you want to be an Alliance Rogue {WoW}

Feb 8th 2009 11:30PM MI6 is actually foreign intelligence office and MI5 is homeland security. So I'd say that SI:7 is actually a clever mix of the two. Great article btw. Can we see one on BELF Priests though as I'm not actually sure what sect of the light we're supposed to following prior to the rebirthed sunwell. Wowwiki doesn't help much.

The Queue: I like fire {WoW}

Jan 26th 2009 7:42PM I would be inclined to say that's due to our spread of nationalities. You tend to find we have large communities of different nationalities that cluster together on the same realm/faction. My own server for example has a large number of Swedes and Dutch as well as the Brits, Irish, Norwegians, Danes and Finnish that tend to accumulate on our servers. At least we have diversity even as we're getting obliterated by large opposing forces.

Ask a Lore Nerd: Shared tongues and other oddities {WoW}

Dec 8th 2008 4:36AM In the books Tides of Darkness and Beyond the Dark Portal it explains that the alliance tore down the Dark Portal at the end of the first part of the second war but that it rebuilt partially during the second phase of the second wat (Outland). That's if I remember that correctly. It's early and my brain is still foggy.
