Apr 14th 2008 2:50PM One thing parents need to remember, is that school comes before games. Too often we see parents who let their kids dictate what they will and will not do. I play wow, and work, and do house work, so I see no reason why the game should be that much an issue for students.
With that said, there is a lot of the game that can be utilized by educators. Use the market system, auctions, trade and so on, to explain how the market systems of the world operate. Refer books to the kids that deal with some of the base species and have them do book reports on those books, even stories like Beowolf come to mind. Math, literature, social studies can all be extracted from the game, mif you are willing to spend a little time making outlines for your classes from this.
But first it will have to be up to the parents actually being parents first before anything else can be done.
