Curse of the Worgen comic on sale Nov. 17 {WoW}

Aug 17th 2010 9:40PM Curse of the Worgen, an entire PC race, bitten by a radioactive Joan Rivers, cursed to have no lips for all eternity.

Maintenance for Tuesday September 8th {WoW}

Sep 7th 2009 11:36PM To game is essentially unplayable at this point.

Anyone trying it out take note, you can't solo unless you take force sheath, condem, pyre and minimines. Look it up.

Argent Tournament is for the casual player {WoW}

Apr 21st 2009 3:12PM A new casual friendly grind. Excuse me if I hold my cricicism/praise until 6 months after its been released to see if they'll actually update it.

Just saying it seems nice but blizzard is notoriously bad at this stuff. The glacial speed combined with un-updated content leads me to believe this is just going to be a waste of development time/money.

Chinese release of Wrath of the Lich King still delayed {WoW}

Mar 11th 2009 2:12PM Good, if WotlK can't get released in China anyways, it means we have a very good chance of getting Panderan as a playable race.

Why too many currencies actually helps progression {WoW}

Mar 6th 2009 11:41AM Why would having people run content over and over for a chance to grind to better gear be a bad thing? Its what factions do. All the 'different' currency does is promote farther along players/guilds to not go back and do old content again.

As someone who's been stuck trying to break into raiding for 4 months because all the people running Naxx either don't have any gear they need from the currency or boss drops, or are afraid of getting locked into that group and quit when we reach spider boss.

Also, you don't need to entice players to go to new content. The idea of having different teirs of currency is down right insulting. It's telling players that are trying to break into higher teirs of gaming 'sorry if your gear is stopping you from being able to catch up to the raiding guilds, you'll just have to leech off of them for months like a parasite so you can start grinding a currency that is by that time useless'

The Glider outcome and copyright law {WoW}

Feb 4th 2009 6:33PM If I'm just leasing the game, then are my WoW payments tax deductable? Does that mean when I make a complaint blizzard HAS to respond? Since they have released to me a copy of the property does that make it illegal for blizzard to take away from my quiet enjoyment ie: ban when content liability is disavowed on the very box.

I disagree with botting as much as the next player. But no, I don't like people screwing around with copywrite law more than they need to

Does overhealing matter? {WoW}

Feb 3rd 2009 6:08PM I think the comment now a day's is, why does it matter when all ranks of a spell cost the same? Back when lower ranks offered lower heals for lower cost sometimes in less time, over healing was a huge factor and a few changes to play style could vastly improve healers mana reserves.

I don't play a healer, but with the down ranking nerfed into oblivion, why does over healing matter? Aside from the obvious I mean.

Titanguard weapon enchant gone after all {WoW}

Jan 18th 2009 3:29PM The disappearance of the Tanking 2 hander was taken with a grain of salt as it would open up the door to just tanking DK's. But Blizzards logic here is simply dumbfounding. we don't want to create 2 handed tanking enchants because there aren't any good ones so far and tanks will only use them. Honestly? Honestly? Is this what we do now? If simply offering the option of a nice bit of stam on a weapon would cause all of a spec to abandon ship for it. That's a problem with the lack of good enchants for that spec.

Also its funny simply because many tanks already use a single enchantment and just stick with it. Way to solve a problem by propagating the exact same problem blizz.

Do the developers' personal preferences affect class balance issues? {WoW}

Sep 15th 2008 2:40PM A development group is a lot like democracy, it works until 51% realize they can make the other 49% do what they want.

Developer preference obviously plays a part in class balance and decisions, if 15 developers want druids to rank as high as mages in DPS and only 3 developers want mages to be greater, the druids are going to be equal to mages.

Blizzard says they have a design philosophy they follow regarding class balance, but remember who came up with that philosophy. But yes, players are overly sensitive more or less because blizzard gives absolutely no information about changes or considerations until 3 months after feedback could be helpful.

Blizzard on griefing: deal with it. {WoW}

Apr 17th 2008 6:12PM I was quite bemused when he commented that part of war is attacking when you have the advantage. Oh I'm sorry Mr. Snarky CM if I had the gaul to play on a server my friends went on at launch, or if I made the mistake of thinking that I'd only be able to PvP on the PvP realms. Honestly just rename the realms Gank and Non-gank as that is the ONLY difference between the two and yes I've leveled up on both. It wouldn't be so hard for them to place in, oh say, a BOUNTY SYSTEM to stop this kind of foolishness. People hate ganking simply because they know that the ganker is going to face absolutely no repercussions.

Also, I'm so sick of the 'this is world of WARcraft' arguments. I'm sorry but non-permenant death, no ramifications for any tactical decision, no political ramifications or even punishments for ignoring orders or breaking the rules of engagement. Player vs. Player suggests that I will be competing against other people online, not being tactically nuked by someone five times my level and have to sit there and take it because nobody comes to the leveling zones.
