Aug 28th 2009 8:21PM One thing I noticed with this hat is it doesn't have the customary 30-second cooldown on the the "use" effect after equipping it. This means you can "use" it to put on a lure immediately after equipping.
Aug 21st 2009 5:50PM Get ready to blow 10k gold for "Fair Weather Flying."
Aug 20th 2009 4:15PM @ SuckItTrebek
You weren't downrated for ragging on memes. You got downrated because you're a hypocrite, and Yang has delivered an epic burn.
Aug 20th 2009 4:11PM The ghouls in phase 2 (and the one ghoul in phase 1) randomly generate 50k aggro on a random player periodically. While it is possible to taunt them back, they will switch aggro to a different person in a few seconds. They also explode on their or the Black Knight's death (with a useful animation to know when you should start walking away).
I usually recommend focus firing on the Black Knight and then getting out of the way when the ghouls explode all at once. Your healer will just need to have raid healing experience.

It was fixed in the recent emergency maintenance. You will have to clear WoW's cache to actually see the new DPS. They fixed it to have similar DPS with other ilvl219 weapons.

Tanks that stack stam usually stack it because it's not at the mercy of RNG. Usually to avoid wipes due to an unlucky string of unavoided hits, and give the healers precious time to land heals because the tank was capable of soaking up the hits.
Parry also suffers from a higher rate of rating needed per percentage point than dodge, also has a lower point of diminishing return. Block is getting a buff next patch but right now it's a pretty weak mitigation/avoidance stat because the bosses in Ulduar hit way too hard, and it's both at the mercy of the RNG, and only mitigates a small percentage of damage. Mostly block is a threat stat right now for Shield slam and reflective damage.
Jul 8th 2009 2:55PM I don't see the problem here. The 2 in the screenshot seem to be at about the same level of maturity.
I also hope I never lose the ability to appreciate such epic burns.
And maturity is not a number. A person in their 30s can still be a dick. I wouldn't exclude young people just because of their age, this is where the social part of the game comes into play.
Jul 1st 2009 6:39PM @ Owen:
Healing touch build has its uses too. When the appropriate talents and glyphs are used, single target reactive healing is vastly improved. The healing touch casting time can be brought down to 1 sec.
Main use for it as I've found is during KT Frost Blast. It gives a much larger margin of error especially when frost blast hits right as you begin casting a 2 sec spell. Sure you can cancel, but the GCD has already been triggered. It can't match HoT specialization's raid healing output, but as a druid nothing beats it for catching unexpected spike damage.
May 13th 2009 5:18PM I think the winner is well deserved. It kept with the theme, there's plenty of detail yet it's still playful. Reminds me of the cartoonish style of WoW itself.
If a 13-year old is capable of cranking out something like this, the feat can be considered even more impressive.
If anything, the more realistic styles presented by some of the other submitters not only didn't stay in the theme of the contest, but seems like the artists are trying way too hard. The realism and focus on the technical aspect of the image distracts the viewer from the soul of the image. The purpose of any art is to invoke emotion in the viewer, and the styles and techniques are only there to help achieve the ultimate goal.
The BE's hands are way too small though.
May 8th 2009 9:02PM Don't know if it's just me, but I think we already have that.
Blacksmiths: Extra gem slots on gloves and bracers (can make belt buckles for an extra belt gem slot for others). This also stacks with normal enchants, so all blacksmiths should get it eventually.
Leatherworkers: Fur lining on bracers give approximately double the bonus of an enchanter's enchantment.
Jewelcrafters: JC only gems (Dragon's Eye) which are worth more than 2 rare quality gems and are considered prismatic in color.
Tailoring: has the cloak weave enchants, but from what I gather they aren't all that good.
