Jul 14th 2008 5:03AM I've just changed guilds this week so I don't know my new tank corps very well (although there's the usual sarcastic warlock and melee officer who thinks he's Sergeant Hartman from Full Metal Jacket) but my old tank section was free from drama.
Seriously, they never whined and never tried to blackmail the guild. They just cracked dirty jokes in their channel and got on with the raiding. If a tank got assigned a bad healer he might say "well I'm screwed" but that was about it.
Jun 12th 2008 10:53PM It's a common misconception that paladins use expertise for mitigation rather than threat. They're already the tank least likely to get parried. Expertise is a threat stat for paladin, not a mitigation stat.
Role of expertise in paladin threat generation:
Jun 8th 2008 9:03AM There's been a fair bit of research into parrygib as it specifically applies to paladins.
The conclusion is: Stop spreading this misinformation. Parrygib is a warrior problem.
May 30th 2008 6:35PM One minor correction: Tankadins wear expertise for threat, not to avoid parrygib.
None of our abilities can be parried except for autoattack. Whereas almost everything in a warrior's rotation can be parried. WWS analysis has been used to confirm this. Paladins just don't get parried very often.
For threat gen 1 expertise rating becomes worth the same as 1 spell damage at around 825+ threat per second.
