Mar 25th 2009 3:08PM I loved this article too!
I echoes everything i have been saying to myself for the last 6 months.
The Rogue has been gimped because other classes are now SUPER POWERS.
People that get demolished by Rogues are Rogues too. We know what is fair and what isnt. Theres way too many bad players out there that are under the impression that being a Rogue is easy.
Play in the arena as Rogue in WOTLK and tell me Rogues run over people. We has to be so god damn sharp its sick.
I dont think Id play this game if i wasnt a Rogue. He is my first, my main, my last.
Cheers to all my rogue brothers!
Mar 25th 2009 1:33PM Great post. Im an avid PVPer and casual raider. I enjoy 5 mans more.
In BC i couldnt do the high level endgame instances HMGT, Sunwell, or Kara even, without the proper gear and skill. My epic PVP set did nothing for me.
now i face roll through Naxx, VOA, OS etc. in blues and the only negative is that i got to listen to some leet QQ about how my Recount DPS is low. I shouldnt even be here. My presence should cause a fail.
"pinata drops" are the best thing i ever heard. Anyone with a keyboard can be fully decked out in the best gear in the game. with minimal effort and skill.
for me, my "leet" game was the arena. I dont get why raiders and PVE enthusiats hate it so much. Its the same game only harder. By harder i mean more "active". I think leet raiders would thrive in the arena. they just have some bias against it. now the arena is a joke because you have the leet of the leet arena guys running and they are just unbeatable for 99% of the wow population.
BGs coulda been AWESOME in Wrath. And what do we get? SOTA? Give me a break. this is the best idea? Use tanks to zerg walls defended by manned guns? WTF is that? Thats not PVP. Thats some flash game I play when im bored.
Mar 25th 2009 10:05AM Theres no single right answer to this question. Its simply the sum of all of Blizz's mistakes.
Content too easy = Fail
Too much focus on the mini game of 25 man raids without enough 25 man raids = Fail
Not enough freedom to progress your toon beyond the ways Blizz wants you to = Fail
Not enough focus on 5 man isntances = Fail
World PVP doesnt exist = Fail
Wintergrasp = Fail
Lack of new BGs = Fail
Complete imbalance amongst classes = Fail
Arena = Fail
-- Other --
Death Knights = Fail
Palladins = Fail
The PVE game is way too easy. The PVP game is way to hard unless ur a DK or Pally.
Mar 25th 2009 9:04AM This is F'n histerical!
They want to test arena NOW on the PTR realm?
LOLOLOLOL..........what planet are these guys on?
1. Its too little too late. Period.
2. PTR realm might be the worst place to test anything PVP.
a. Who joins the PTRs? PVE focused Raiders not Arena players. Any findings they have will be like compairing Apples to Oranges.
Blizz is a joke.
Mar 23rd 2009 4:30PM ZZZZZzzzzzzz.............
Free respecs? Really? wow.......
The respec Tax is the saddest thing in WOW today. They tax you a sizeable amount of gold to rebuild your talent tree. So, instead of havign a systam where players are more free to test hings out and learn and grow, we have a system where you better look up the Cookie cutter specs cause it will cost you a Tax for not getting it right.
Boooo Blizzz BOOOOOOO
Mar 23rd 2009 12:22PM You know what I love about Blizz. Is that they know where they slack, but they jsut plow ahead as if its the greatest thing since sliced bread. Im convinced that the team there has been downsized to small group.
Which explains why.....
It's taking 6 months to come close to PVP balance.
It's taking 6 month to create PVE content that isnt faceroll material.
It's taking 6 month to get visual gear ehancements that suck anway.
DKs where a good idea.
Wintergraps is an epic fail of bordum and lag.
I still lag out in Dalaran/Naxx/WG.
Only 1 new battle ground was made (SOTA) and its not a real BG.
Dual specs are about 2 years too late.
5 Man heroics are being neglected in favor of the 25 man mini game.
Mar 23rd 2009 12:11PM I love you lemmons...ur such a rogue at all times.
Mar 23rd 2009 9:24AM I dont know why we are supposed to care about this article. Unless your a DK or Pally, you're not getting this gear. Not the way the system is set up today anyway.
Lemmons, I see you alot on these posts and your a Rogue correct? As am I. It's funny how you and I have the same views on these topics.
Battlegrounds are "Real PVP" but in no way shape or form does it compare to what the Arena is. Which is why Arena gear must be the standard for PVP.
I spent end game 70 almost exclusively in PVP. Now in Wrath I am forced to play the mini game of 10/25 man Raids to get leet gear. And I must say, its a joke. Naxx gear, badges....WELFARE EPICS. It is so easy to get decked out in PVE drops is sad.
Meanwhile, in the arena, its a brutal slug-fest where only the leet team make ups are all0wed to get the gear. I mean its a foregone conclusion that if you dont have a Pally on your team, you're basically gimped.
In season 1-3 you had "easy" competition. No rating meant bad teams in the arena grinding matches. So you had a pool of bad teams that were clearly not in same league as Arena heads. NOW, the mediocre teams, are gone. Leaving good teams banging it out just to get 1600.
I spend hours on the arena ladder looking at team configurations. Maybe, just maybe if I didnt always see a DK and/or Pally on every single team with a high rating, I wouldn't complain.
Cute combos like Rogue/Disc priest can get you into 1700 area, but then DK/Pally time comes and ur sunk.
Blizzard's fetish with Pallys and DKs ruined the arena. Those two classes all but eliminated the need to have other classes. If you need heals, your best option is a H-Pally and if you need Deeps your best option is a DK.
PVE = Welfare Epics
Arena = Leet Epics
BGs = Welfare Epics
Dont like that? Go roll on some drop in a 25 man where your presence isnt even needed. Every piece of gear that isnt Arena is welfare in my opinion. All it takes is the skill of being in a guild that raids or reading the Trade channel when pugs are running.
Mar 20th 2009 10:06AM wow...if thats true could be the one i have heard.
