Two Bosses Enter: Eregos dismounts Skadi, Loken takes on Xevozz {WoW}

Jan 15th 2010 5:41AM Loken wins since he's the prime designate and if Xevozz kills him, Algalon comes to pwn us all into oblivion. With no one running full Ulduar clears anymore, he will definitely get the chance to send his signal to the Titans.

The Queue: Wherein we are aghast {WoW}

Dec 22nd 2009 6:29PM It's made clear, in game, that Sylvanas wants to destroy all living. That part is stated fairly clearly. Please see jealouspirate's reply to the first comment on this article for some insight. Also, most quests related to the Royal Apothecary Society show glimpses into this. Just as an example:

"Why don't you go see how the Captured Mountaineer enjoys this special drink I made for him? It contains a subtle hint of what The Dark Lady has planned for the rest of Azeroth."

The Queue: Apology denied {WoW}

Dec 16th 2009 6:47AM Given the examples, yes, you should be pissed. You are more than adequately geared to run those heroics, I'd only vote to kick you for Heroic PoS and HoR.

Tank opportunities in the late endgame {WoW}

Dec 8th 2009 12:32AM "The reverse is true for healers. Suddenly we go from 2 healers (maybe 3) in 10 mans, to 5 healers in 25 mans. Combine that with DPS often rolling on our gear, and it's hardly surprising that our main healers have such difficulty cracking the guild's top 10 gear list."

What do you mean suddenly, uncaringbear? Everything stays the same.
1/5 are healers in 5 mans.
2/10 are healers in 5 mans.
5/25 are healers in 5 mans.

The Queue: A trip down memory lane {WoW}

Nov 11th 2009 1:38PM Why did Blizzard do such a half-ass job on the revealing of Muradin being alive and the subsequent reunion of Muradin, Brann and Magni?

The perils of MMO tourism {Massively}

Nov 3rd 2009 4:12PM "The thing that breaks my heart most about all this is that if some of these AAA titles were released as they are NOW, for example AoC, they would have captured enough hearts and minds to not worry about the odd wandering player."
-Hub (Edited to make sense)

This. The big thing about making MMOs that we see time and time again is that it costs a lot of money to make an MMO and ultimately, a lot of the time you end up seeing them having to release before they really want to and you end up getting an unfinished and unpolished product. Someone in the first page of comments mentioned how he tried out suchandsuch game and went back to the great and polished WoW. Guess what? WoW wasn't polished when it came out, I know, I started playing on launch day. The WoW we see today went through A LOT to become as polished and smooth as it is. Unfortunately, the opportunity afforded to WoW to grow, is often not given to other developers and really there's no reason to give them that opportunity nowadays.

Officers' Quarters: More loot-rolling shenanigans {WoW}

Nov 2nd 2009 1:53PM Mpmagi, the scenario presented in Blessing of Kings is not the same as the one being presented in Officers' Quarters. Different scenarios = different math. The key sentence in Blessing of Kings' article is the following "(By passing, I mean Wendy chooses to nullify her roll if and only if Daisy is the second-highest roller.)"

Where as here, the key sentence is "now that we can trade the stuff to them we can use three rolls per item to help them gear up faster." You can't apply the same math when the scenarios don't match.
