Apr 10th 2010 3:09AM Mages with Bloodlust? I thought Cataclysm was Deathwings doing...not shamans
Apr 10th 2010 3:05AM This is the sound, the deafening silence of shamans everywhere.
Apr 7th 2010 6:41PM Spiritwalker's Grace is going to be amazing for Ele PvP. Think about what it would do for Arena, Ele has such a terrible time dealing with LOS.
Now you can pop this baby and decimate that cockroach of a resto druid as you follow it around the pillar laughing at this vain attempts to shake you off...mwahahaha
Apr 7th 2010 6:31PM Spiritwalker's Grace, Spirit Link.... I think I might start Arena/BGing again in Cata.
Apr 6th 2010 2:43AM I think you are being abit hasty and assuming how output of diseases/poisons/debuffs will remain the same as way as they do in WOTLK in cata. With the dispel mechanic change they would have to change how they use debuffs like poisons/magic/diseases in instances/solo play/pvp.
I can't really comment on how it will be till cata beta really, but I'm interested in what they do with it.
Apr 5th 2010 11:46PM I agree to some extent, I personally don't PvP but I do accept that PvP is apart of this game. But really, this is a MAJOR change in mechanics right, this isn't the same as adding talents, classes (like the one that I play) are losing really cool stuff like Cleansing totem, and the ability to remove diseases/poisons...
PvP might have been the motivator to change it, but you have to realize this is a massive change and they wouldn't do anything like this without keeping PvE and PvP in mind and they wouldn't do anything radical unless it was best for the game.
Apr 5th 2010 10:42PM No, they are doing this to better the game. Read Zarhym's post.
"No one here approached dispel mechanics with the idea that PvP takes precedence over PvE, so there's little reason to object in that regard. The changes to class systems in Cataclysm we've announced thus far are being proposed to make the game better, both in terms of PvP and PvE"
But I realize allot of people don't like PvP/Arena and find it convenient to blame it anything for anything they don't like.
Feb 11th 2010 10:21PM Note to shammies, Ancestral Awakening double dips with the healing buff, no idea if this is a bug but until they fix it, enjoy the big numbers :) One of the shammys in my guild pulled out a crazy 25.8k HPS.
Feb 3rd 2010 10:32PM I use Engineering Bombs in my rotation ALL THE TIME, they are off the global cooldown, and from what they can see only the Rogues were using the bombs, how do you even figure something out like that, that saronite bombs were "exploding things back together".
This is not bugging out a mobs to evade bug them, this people just doing their regular DPS rotation and having some adverse side effect because of. This would be no stranger if it happened due to poping a haste pot or anything similar.
Jan 10th 2010 1:02AM Can you name me a fight where you get knocked back AND rooted? THE only places I that I found the root break really useful was in Faction Champs and heroics, for the most part in heroics mobs don't tend to move very far, example those skeletons that chains of ice you in POS and move back less than 8yards, you can't even charge them, you have to intervene and then charge...which is what I always do anyway, infact the frequency at which you get rooted in heroics is also very small, you could ALWAYS stick to the intervene->charge which still works perfectly fine.
People are making this a bigger deal than it is, there really isn't many places in PvE where you need Charge, intercept AND intervene to break you out of roots, maybe in heroics, but really...heroics...
