Cant wait for the first yoggie wipe to scream on vent:" all the caracters are dead... AND INSANE"
Feb 24th 2009 2:35PM since failing the RNG with "be mine", I cant be arsed to do any achievements regarding holidays since the mount is now unavailable for me.
Feb 21st 2009 9:55AM Sorry to say this, but this article sound like you are trying to throw everybody who is saying that Wrath has major issues(especially regarding raiding) on one big pile and say that they are looking at the past in rose tinted spectacles and that they are wrong.
I have raided vanilla until Cthun-thrash TBC until eredar twins.
Vannila had major problem regarding its logic and build. Being a decursive-bot on lucy. T2 dropping of Rag. 45 min respawns in MC. No badges and Tier-items dropping as tier items. No use for some repgrinds(argent dawn) or unnessecary use of them(brood of nozdromu)
MC was a instant with systemic design flaws.
The game had problems as well: no paid servertransfers, low amount of FP(remember getting to BWL originaly?) no summoning etc etc.
But all the thing i believe flawed with raiding in WOW were fixed in BC.
BC had a pretty well designed raiding-aspect.
Your progression in the game could be measured pretty lineair with the time you were willing to invest in the game. Shure Kael and Vashj were hard, but after they removed the attunements you didnt need to kill them to progress in BT.
A lot of raiders agree that vannila and to a lesser extent Bc had problems regarding accessability, but is it really a crime to suggest that wrath content is maybe a bit too accessible?
Jan 28th 2009 2:01PM No summoning stones?
"Channelles old koot"
Well back in my day we didn't have any nancy-pansy frilly summoningstones and by golly we made due.
And we didnt have any fancy heroics or dailies.
And we had to walk 10miles to the instant portal uphill both ways
Dec 23rd 2008 6:27PM The biggest problem during leveling seems to be the 410-425 hump. During these levels you cant use your dreamshards for any usefull enchants and the ones you need to use require some hefty amounts of dust and essences.
During these levels it is also risky to use any of the yellows because the difference between the orange and the yellow recipies are minimal at best and the risk of not getting an upgrade from a yellow enchants seems large.
During these levels you will require some amount of money since farming for greens is more based on luck than farming for greens.
The good news is that once you pass 425 you have acces to the enchant that needs 4 dreamshards and 4 eternal fires for an orange enchant on a weapon.
On my server dreamshards go for 5-6g a pop and eternal fires can be farmed.
If you are a tailor/enchanter you also seem to be stuck since leveling tailoring beyond a ceratin point will require some good amounts of dust.
But like all proffesions the key to succes here is patience. Take yoru time in leveling and dont blow large amounts of monies on the AH unless you really want that enchant fast.
Dec 22nd 2008 3:10PM Remember the rules scott gives here are not absolute. There can be items that fall to certain classes even when the rules here say otherwise.
The problem is that most guilds need a ruletype regarding loot in order to prevent "purple fever" syndrome.
And even then all systems have flaws that can be exploited or abused.
Both the badge-system as the set drops for different classes is a way blizzard tries to lower the importance of pure item drops.
In the end you as a player should just follow one simple rule:" DONT BE GREEDY REGARDING LOOT" and all will be fine
Nov 20th 2008 5:30PM "its like im back in the early 90"
Come on its not that bad.
Nothing can be as bad as the era that brought us such wonderfull crap that i cant even pronounce here.
Its not "I cant draw any feet and all my females have no spines" liefield
Comic-wise the 90 were way worse.
And as long as there is not Greg frakking Land drawing WOW im a modestly happy camper.
And the ashbringer series is pretty good.
The problem i have is still the fact the King of Stormwind ends up a bigger douchbag than Garithos. And he at least had the excuse of being mindcontrolled.
