Blizzard laying off 600 staff globally [Updated] {WoW}

Feb 29th 2012 2:14PM This was exactly my thoughts as well, and I don't understand why your comment got a low rating. To put it into perspective, let's say the average salary for the 600 employees was $50,000 a year. 50,000 x 600 = $30,000,000 a year that Blizz is paying for them. It was reported that over the past year they lost around 2 million subscriptions. So let's take 2 million and multiply it by $13.99 a month (since a subscription can range between 12.99 and 14.99) and we get $27,980,000. They can spin it anyway they want, but they are just making up money for lost subscriptions and doing so on the backs of their employees so that they can save face with investors. I bet Mike Morhaime will be taking home a nice bonus this year as well.

Should WoW players be responsible for player accountability? {WoW}

Feb 8th 2012 4:35PM While that sounds like a great idea, it can easily be abused. For example: I join LFR and decide I want to be a jerk so I -1 everyone in the group. Most people probably wouldn't rate anyone the entire run unless something extreme happened on either end (good or bad). So all it takes is a couple of jerks to ruin your rating when you've done nothing wrong to begin with. What I want to do is start a movement where everyone votes to kick a player that starts screaming about booting other people or screaming about heals/dps/tanks in situations where there hasn't even been a wipe. I think that would go a long way to weed out people that want to be a-holes in LFR/LFG. People also don't feel the need to stick up for someone that is being berated in these situations. You will occasionally see someone say "It's LFR chill out man" and that is usually enough to diffuse the situation.

Gold Capped: Using the new armory auction house {WoW}

May 27th 2010 5:18PM While cool, I think it's garbage that you have to pay for it, and really it'll give people that use it an unfair advantage over people that don't. What's next, being able to buy epic items with cash also? I mean, c'mon Blizz, stop nickel and diming us every chance you get...

Freezing Arrow and you {WoW}

Dec 18th 2008 7:36PM Hardly game changing. In fact I hate that this is my level 80 skill. When I look at other classes level 80 skill most are pretty useful. This is lame. The way to make it a cool skill would be to let us throw any trap of our choosing. This would make it a viable pvp and pve skill. For pvp this is borderline useless. In pve, so many classes have a CC now that freezing arrow is pretty much the last resort way to go. Plus in most of the instances I've done in WotLK no one really utilizes CC like they used to since it is easier for tanks to tank multiple mobs. IMO give us back camouflage.

Enter to celebrate patch 3.0.2 with a Paper Airplane from WoW Insider {WoW}

Oct 14th 2008 1:37PM first thing I'm going to do is give a big F U to blizzard in trade chat for not giving us all the new class changes. F U BLIZZ!! t(>.

When queue times lie {WoW}

Apr 22nd 2008 6:37PM Some previous people hit it on the head, it happened to me last night actually. One of the 5v5 members was in a battleground and did not receive the queue. Estimated time was like 10 seconds, and two minutes had gone by. He left the battleground, and we requeued, within 5 seconds the arena popped.
