Jul 19th 2008 10:37AM Indeed Zach, I did find the summary of these 2 spells from the Paladin Part II but thought I'd talk about it in the Holy section. Although not totally talent orientated I thought the LoH changes were very nice additions for Holy palas out there.

Jul 18th 2008 10:04PM Thought I'd mention the kickass rework of Divine intervention but more importantly Lay on Hands for Holy palas. Both their cooldowns are down to 20 mins with LoH down to 16 mins when talented. If that wasn't enough, the removal of the 'consumes all mana' element actually makes LoH a viable spell in our healing arsenal instead of a last ditch heal attempt when you go (almost)oom and the tank is in major trouble. Before the change, the very long cooldown and the punishing cost meant that it got little use. I welcome the option of having a large instaheal spell along with the reduced cooldown and heal buff on Holy Shock.

It's just come to mind but think about the implications on LoH in Arena. It technically would be allowed since the CD is 20 mins or below. If the mana cost was tiered appropriately then yes but I can see it being seriously overpowered otherwise.

DI with the lower cooldown would be way handier in raids. From a 1 hour cooldown to 20 mins is a huge change. If the spell remains like this for release then we'll have more options for avoiding corpse runs :) Up until now, raids have mainly relied on soul stones or ankhs to get a person up to res. Since the CD of DI is less than a soul stone, it also provides more flexibility on SS targets - could be put on a crucial offtank for example instead of a healer since a healer could be targeted with DI later on if a wipe starts.

Bear in mind that it heals ALL raid members within 10 yards of the Beacon target. In 25 mans, imagine if you could get a whole bunch of the raid members in range of the beacon at the time you pop the spell, then it scales incredibly well.

I can see it being a very big mana drain in 5 man parties for example, but in 25 man groups it becomes oh so much more powerful.
