Breakfast Topic: Who do you want to kill? {WoW}

Jan 9th 2010 9:24AM Tirion of course. He wields the ashbringer. Will corrupt it again and go for the even bigger loot.

Lichborne: The latest Patch 3.3 PTR death knight changes in depth {WoW}

Oct 12th 2009 3:03PM @budman - because you are using much more heart strikes as blood then Frost and Unholy obliterates and scourge strikes.

Lichborne: The latest Patch 3.3 PTR death knight changes in depth {WoW}

Oct 12th 2009 3:00PM hmmmm .... thinking about something. Death And Decay is finding its way into some DPS unholy rotations at the moment. Is it possible to see some weird gearing with 2 minor 10 man tanking pieces for DPS on heavy aoe fights?

Phat Loot Phriday: Edge of Agony {WoW}

Sep 26th 2009 4:44AM I am a DK, and I won it tonight.

Where as it is acceptable hunter stat stick, don't forget that for all melee actually using the weapon the most important stats are speed and DPS. This thing is slow and hits hard. Its is a huge upgrade over egde of ruin. The arp is very sweet and has a socket in which a nice epic 20str gem can be put. Are there any other good weapons in this range - yes. But they are from either heroic or otherwise unpugable content.

Hunters are much more versatile in their gearing in melee weapons that other classes.

So here is the deal - I will pass on the gun from onyxia on my warrior while there is hunter in the party for whom it is even the slightest sidegrage and you will pass melee weapons while they are upgrade for melees.

If there is someone in your party with 232+ two hander with str and wants that - tell him politely to cancel his account.

Popular scams and how to avoid them {WoW}

Jun 13th 2009 4:22AM Btw - the hacker do not steal or commit theft. Because - here is the dirty little secret - all IP and information belongs to blizzard. Read the terms of service and EULA. Your shiny epics are theirs, your gold is theirs, your guildbank is theirs and your toon with 200 /played days is theirs. You don't have any property rights over them. So when hacker transfers in game wealth from one toon to other no theft is committed.

And for keylogers - just have firewall, AV and normal settings on UAC - and you are protected by them.

I am programmer worked on some high security projects a few years afo - we can protect the users from keylogers, different attacks and all kinds of malicious software. We cannot protect them from shouting their password on the phone while waiting in line in the cafeteria.

Anti-Aliased: When you can't hack it legitimately, cheat instead pt. 2 {Massively}

Feb 5th 2009 5:59AM Completely wrong. I am a programmer, so I somewhat know the insides of a program. Its the company duty to test and debug their programs. Also mmos are client server app - so unless the client was modified by prohibited way - everything that the servers allow you to do it completely "legal". you are not obliged to report unusual game behavior unless they pay you for that. You exploited - well fix the exploit, case closed. Even better - don't close - make it do something nasty - like wipe the party on split or whatever. They will learn.

Phat Loot Phriday: Red Sword of Courage {WoW}

Jan 31st 2009 4:18AM Been running UP on heroic for the last few eternities .... no drops. The inst is easy and fast. And skadi now dies only when he sees me. Hope it will drop sometimes soon.

And to make my life bitter - a guild tank that hasn't played his toon for over a month got the sword, the crest of lordaeron and the pants that drop from cyanagosa on his first runs there.

MMOGs and virtual worlds: Hidden costs {Massively}

Oct 22nd 2008 2:26PM Where I live the speeds are around 1MB/sec with no limit on traffic for about 30 Euro. Not the worst deal in the world.

Breakfast Topic: Why do beggars beg? {WoW}

Apr 25th 2008 10:02AM Paying real money to be able to beg for virtual. Am I the only one that cannot understand it?
