Nov 11th 2008 5:49PM "I really wish most of you would quit with the remarks. Tell ya what...ocne every one of you goes an writes a huge MMORPG like wow and you can patch it and never have it crash. Once you achieve perfect uptime THEN you can come here and cry..."
I am not one to complain about this stuff because I do understand the complexity but I can also understand the other point of view, which is based on the principal that we pay for a service and expect a certain level of service. Certainly not 100% uptime but people will complain anytime they feel they aren't getting all they "deserve".
Not disagreeing but it's easy to see both sides of that argument as I am both a developer (not of an MMO) and a customer.
Oct 28th 2008 12:22AM Also most other classes that are mana classes have the ability to either close range on the target or range nuke while the retadin just stumbles along after it like a turtle try to close for a stun of some kind. By the time we do close we have no mana.
Oct 21st 2008 10:40AM Here's my main problem with all of these crazy oil, phase change, and to lesser degree water cooling; getting parts out to replace or repair in time frame measured in minutes not hours. I'm a tinkerer so I like to replace parts or upgrade regularly as time and money allows these systems are for people who want to buy one machine and when they want to upgrade they need to buy another. That's not for me and probably a lot of others. That being said this is obviously targeted at a niche market that roughly the size of pin head so to those people enjoy. :)
Oct 2nd 2008 9:55AM You guys make it sound like you expect WoWInsider to be the New York Times of the WoW world. IT"S A BLOG!
Not every single piece is going to be major news that shakes the foundations of the MMO industry. There are going to be opinion pieces mixed in there as well. Just because something is not of interest to you doesn't mean it isn't interesting to someone else. Most of what's on CNN doesn't interest me does that mean it's not news?
Sep 16th 2008 11:06AM I'm pretty pumped and I have Pre-ordered mine!!
Side note/offtopic - Just up the road in GF, ND
Sep 11th 2008 12:05PM Are people looking more at slow/higher dps one handers in place of pure spell damage weapons to go along with these changes to protection? I'm very curious about how all this changes itemization.
