Nov 14th 2010 6:02PM People are complaining??!? I'm shocked and awed.
Oct 9th 2009 5:16PM I can't tell you how many times I've searched desperately for Soul Shatter on my Druid. Well, I could, but you wouldn't care, and I hate counting.
Jun 4th 2009 2:32PM I leveled Demonology "back in the day". And kept that until I was told, "If you want to raid, you have to be Destruction!" So, I reluctantly sent my Felguard back to the twisting nether, turned in my soul link and dived deep into chaos. It was OK at first. My DPS did go up, but not significantly. However, since "they" said it was the only way, I gathered up my wool and followed. As time went on, and changes to Warlocks surfaced, I heard someone say that Demonology was viable in raids now. I did my research, and you could have heard me holler from the moon! So, I went back to my proverbial bread and butter, and haven't looked back since. And the best part is, not only do I enjoy playing my Warlock again, but I am consistantly in the top 3 DPS'ers... now if I could only get my Felguard to quit standing in Razorscale's fire, everything will be alright. :)
Jun 4th 2009 10:56AM Its funny how everyone has an opinion, and they are all right!
However, I really loved the "origins of humans" lore we got in The Echo of Ymiron quest. AND, if you travel over to the other side of the village while still in spirit form, the Lich King is there, and you can interact with him. Pretty epic in my opinion.
So, yeah, I would have to side with Howling Fjord as my favorite starting zone of the two as well.
Jun 1st 2009 9:40AM I guess its the care-bear in me, but I have a hard time killing "yellow" creatures, even when its part of a quest. Not to say that I don' t do it, but its never easy. I began thinking about this one day - these are pixels on a screen - why do you even worry about it? Then it hit me that it was because of what it represented. Yeah, its just pixels, but the morality behind what I am doing tends to play into my actions. Maybe I take it too seriously, but its just how I roll. :) hehe
That being said, you will most likely see me hanging around in Borean Tundra, waiting for someone to create a bloody pool so I can fish out of it for that most horrible fishing daily. Or, somewhere in Kalimdor, communing with the bunnies and hugging trees...
May 28th 2009 9:50AM I play both sides as well. I guess you could say I am bifactual... o.O wait, no don't say that...
Honestly though, you are missing half the game if you don't at least try out the other faction. All preconceived notions aside, each faction has its good points and its bad points.
May 27th 2009 1:01PM I have had a hard time finding my niche when roll playing my Lock. At first, I made him brooding and anti-social, but who wants to interact with that? Then I made him more outgoing and about as bubbly as a warlock could be, without spontaneously combusting.. That didn't work either. So, I finally found a middle ground, as a normal human, with a normal background who 'fell in with the "wrong" crowd.' Part of that is his desire to keep his class under wraps. I know, literally, that is impossible, but I play him with the thought in mind that he doesn't hide the fact that he is a warlock, but he doesn't broadcast it either. He rarely has a minion with him in cities, etc. From a RP standpoint, this is interesting and can be frustrating. Especially when I walk into the Finest Thread, and hear, "Good day warlock!" Granted, some people, especially those accustomed to magic, could smell a warlock a mile away. I just enjoy the secrecy of it.
By the way, Nick, I enjoy your articles immensely. Your range of topics is refreshing. Glad your skin is thick enough to weather the barbs.
May 20th 2009 10:55AM I really wish work wouldn't block the official forums! I needed a little drama this morning. :(
May 20th 2009 10:40AM Nice, so far. I like it. I am also just testing out the comment system. :)
