Flying mounts and ruined PvP {WoW}

Jul 9th 2008 4:20PM Absolutely not.
If you are a mage, you can still shoot your fireball or icebolt at the target when they are flying in the middle air.
If you are a rogue, you can fly up, dismount, stealth/ambush/premed+gorrote/finish off with deadly throw.
of course, given that your oponent isn't 10k ft up in the air and you will land no where but the ground.

Remember Neilyo? he killed midgets in the air many times in his video.

Personally, i think it didn't kill world pvp at all. it's just made it more interesting if you dare.

Ever surprise yourself? {WoW}

Apr 30th 2008 8:59PM You guys will love this one.

I was ganking ppl in Telaar one time (70 rogue) and pissed off a bunch of alliances. They setup a trap and eventually found me. There were 6 or 7 of them chasing after me, so i vanished and started running towards the bridge. But somehow i ran too close to one of the guard and the guard started to hit me and brought me out of stealth. At that moment, i saw the 6 or 7 alliance was running towards me and the hunter started shooting already.
I was like, "crap, this is it". I managed to jump off the bridge thinking i might just luck out by landing in the water and stealth away. But, apparently the water wasn't deep around Telaar, i landed and died instantly.
Just as i was cheering that I didn't give any honor away, i saw those 6 or 7 alliances started falling and dieing next to my body. That was the funniest moment ever in my WoW experience.

Some remarks on drop rates {WoW}

Apr 29th 2008 7:29PM no. your drop rate is still at 10%. Could it be 96%? of course, if you are lucky enough.
the easiest example to understand this (which is already in the post) is "flip a coin". Each time you flip it, you will always get 50% of chance for either the heads or the tail.

Some remarks on drop rates {WoW}

Apr 29th 2008 7:23PM this is basic statistics. But statistically speaking, if you open enough bags, the overall drop rate will be close to 10% with a smaller and smaller error margin. Of course the sample size will be in the 100,000 ranges in order to even see it gets close to 10%.
