The evolution of zerg dungeon farming {WoW}

Nov 20th 2010 9:53PM I love running random heroics, but I ran into a problem on my healer. It seemed like I was always getting queue'd into the highest level instances I could make it into on the random dungeon finder, and in the end, I wasn't really prepared to heal places like Forge of Souls. For me, this killed my game as a healer. I ended up changing to DPS on my paladin, and I'm enjoying it alot more. I love healing, but I can't keep it up. Another thing I found interesting, is that while the locks on certain dungeons are dependant on Gear, even when I downgraded from my just under 4k GS healing set to my just over 2k GS DPS set, I wasn't "Locked" to the higher level heroics such as Forge of Souls, or even Pit of Saron..... Which is what I believe happened the other day when I ended up running with a tank with a less then 3k gs. He tried his best, and did a great job, but he just wasn't up to running Pit of Saron. I just wish the Random dungeon finder, which I love, would be a little more selective with where it puts the Tank/Healer dependant on gear.

Drama Mamas: Family or fun? {WoW}

Nov 12th 2010 7:26PM Ok, first of all, your gonna have to put your girl before your brothers. Your brothers can be mad at you all they want, but it's your girl who will take care of you when your sick, and down. In my time being married, my family didn't really approve of my choice in spouse. You don't necessarily need to be in the same guild with your brothers to be able to enjoy spending time with them.

Secondly, and I can't beleive Ms Robin didn't pick up on this, While the game does change completely at 80, you should do your own research, because obviously your well intentioned brothers are complete idiots. Imagine Armor penetration on a pally.

Again, Ms Robin, I call you on this.

"I decided to take some sort of action with this. I petitioned my eldest brother, who is also the GM, and brought this to his attention. He dealt with it as a GM instead of talking to me as a brother, saying they are looking out for common mistakes that they made and do not want us repeating. They want our skills to be good enough to warrant us being able to participate with them. He completely ignored the fact that they were killing the game for me and my future bride."

If you consider this to be seeking special treatment, then I am glad I am not related to you. To me, he didn't ask to be included in a raid performing severely limited DPS, nor did he ask that his girl be included without seeking for improvement. He did not ask to be "Carried".

Perhaps I took Ms Robins comments too strongly because of my own experience with my family being dumb about my bride. I mean, Marriage advice from a single person?? But let me be honest, you don't have to play with your brothers if they won't treat you as just that, Family. One does not have the right to get "Carried" just because one is family, but one does deserve special treatment in how one is talked to BY family.

Nov 11th 2010 8:44PM It's been said that Blizzard wants to make Healing a challenge. I don't know what Blizzard has in mind for that, other then I suppose Blizzard wants to make it so that we can't keep the tank at full health anymore, but more that It will be all we can do to keep the tank from dieing, but if the DPS takes too long, then both the healer and the tank are just in trouble, because the damage received will be just a little more then the healer can heal. Sort of a The tanks health goes down slowly, because the healer is healing as fast as possible just to keep the tank alive, and it's a race to see if the tank or the target go down first. I could be mistaken on that, but that's what I understood.

I already find healing to be a challenge, between keeping track of what's going on, even with DBM, and keeping peoples health up. Granted, I heal with a paladin. So my question is; Should I continue healing, or figure on going DPS in the next expansion?

Nov 11th 2010 2:00AM It's always gonna seem just a little unfair. That's life, I don't recall seeing anywhere a promise that life was fair. On two characters, I bought every racial mount I could, at about 80 gold (which is probably better then someone else paid) and now they are barely 10 gold. I paid 1000 gold twice for Northrend flying, and look what it costs now? Crud, I paid 5k gold for Epic flying on my first character, and only 4k on my second. I want my Refund!! *Grins* I should have enough from that to buy super fast flying!!
