Upcoming Adjustments announced for Old Kingdom, Nexus, Culling of Stratholme {WoW}

Jan 12th 2010 7:05AM I'm looking forward to these changes, but I'm worried that down the road(Cataclysm)m Blizzard might design dungeons too much around the new Dungeon Finder system, and make them too easy/boring/linear.

Account Administration encouraged not to restore hacked characters {WoW}

Jan 8th 2010 4:10PM Who cares about blame? It's in Blizzard's best interest to restore hacked accounts and make the customer feel better. They'll lose more money if every person who gets hacked leaves the game because their account wasn't restored, and that's what Blizzard cares about the most.

Account Administration encouraged not to restore hacked characters {WoW}

Jan 8th 2010 3:51PM Whether it be because of tons of accounts being hacked or other petitions, Blizzard needs to hire more staff. WoW has gone from barely satisfactory wait times to outrageous, unacceptably long ones.

Of course the game has become more and more mainstream as the years have gone by, thus increasing the workload of GMs, but considering how much money this game rakes in, it's ridiculous that customer service is as bad as it is.

Sure the GMs are always nice and try to be helpful, and that's an important part of customer service, but for me it's not nearly as important as not making the customer wait, and in this case an outrageously long time. I mean, I wouldn't care if the GM told me to go to hell and burn if it meant getting a petition resolved faster.

I'm not saying Blizzard shouldn't do what it can prevent petitions in the first place (making Authenticators Mandatory) or offering players "Care Packages" to speed up the process, that's great. It would be stupid if they didn't do everything they could to lessen the load. But wait times on petitions have been bad since day 1, and have progressively gotten worse.

Sure, you can blame incompetent players for the long wait times, yeah it's annoying that players petition GMs about problems that they could resolve on their own, or easily could have avoided in the first place. But that is never going to change, some players will always be incompetent. As this game increases in popularity, and Activision-Blizzard's profits sky rocket, I don't think it's too much to ask for them to hire some more staff to handle the increase in the game's population.

Mad Catz Cyborg Rat hands-on: true customizable mouse madness {Engadget}

Jan 8th 2010 3:59AM I've seen waves of "gaming" peripherals branded with the "Cyborg" nomenclature, that didn't really live up to the title. This thing at least looks like something a flesh/machine hybrid being would appreciate.
