Nov 27th 2009 9:04PM i quit wow last week after playing for over 4 years. The game just isn't the same anymore. If i had to describe the problem i sum it up like this, "WOW a million things to do and no reason to do them anymore". Make things too easy and they hold no value anymore.
Apr 2nd 2009 4:53AM What a load of crap. This is just pandering to the elistists again those numpties who spend 5 hours a day afk of their mounts in cities cos they think people are jealous of them.
Its like anything in life if you get something new quickly you have a brief period of exclusivity but over time more people get lucky enough or catch up in their own time. This is a fact of life and the epeenies should just accept it. Like with reps I did them all at the right levels when they were new and now they have been nerfed so badly that most takes hours rather than months now. I had them when they were difficult to aquire doesn't mean now at 80 they should be removed from the game.
Whats the problem with people getting the drakes later on , the obsessives erm sorry harcore players will be parked for hours on their uldaar mounts sneering at anyone who hasn't the uldaar mounts.

I am quessing the person who wrote this plays ally haha. Ofc it is a disadvantage, imagine each sides start with 6 players for the first 2-3 mins, thats 4 tanks and two ground vs 6 defenders, you try stopping 4 tanks with 6 players. Its bad enough that horde are generally more prone to be outnumbered at the start of battlegrounds. Just another example of blizz's favouritism to alliance

If you want the game to be hard heres an idea. Don't play it for a month on ptr before hand, don't read up on the tactics and know the fight inside out before you even get to it and trying doing it while fitting in with a normal health none game obsessed lifestyle.
And before you go calling me a casual scrub, yes I am a casual but scrub no! I was head hunter in a top guild who killed kj back in july, 2nd pve realm guild to do so in europe I believe.
If you want to get your kicks from been able to walk around on gear 99% of the none elistist pricks, sorry i mean jerks, can't invest the time to get then your gonna spend the rest of your wow career moaning cos blizz said they never gonna do another "sunwell" and kudos to them for finally making the game more about fun. Because the difficuly of muru pre-nerfs was just sick and tbh stopped been fun after the 100th+ wipe
Jan 2nd 2009 11:37AM Well I've been playing since well before tbc back when to drop a trap in a fight you had to switch a pet to passive and feign death. While we have come a long way in a lot of ways we are still as primitive back then.
Personally a few things i'd like to see and think we definately do need and to call them overpowered when you have retadins and deathknights and rogues that kill you in a single stun is frankly just an insult.
1. You can't stand still in pvp, give hunters the same chance as casters to lower our swamped gbc system. No other class has to use so many stupid none-damage doing abilities just to have a chance when the burst classes basically just stun and nuke.
2. Either give us melee or remove the 5 yard minimum range on our ranged. If a mage can fire off its spells at 0 yards why can't we fire an arrow. Its practically impossible to stay ranged these days with abilitys like shadow step, repentance and deathgrip, charge , feral charge, intercept all on low cd's staying ranged is a full time job and frankly spending an entire bg running for you life gets very dull. No other class is gimped at less than 5 yards why should we.
3. Give us the ability to automatically throw traps at our target if we have one, no other class has to judge their cc and hope the enemy walks into it or doesn't simply disarm it.
4. Remove the damage remove effect penalties on scatter shot and freeze trap, they already last for very little time and when every other class seems to be laidened with stuns we are left in the dark. You encourage us to use serpent sting then make it so it nerfs our already heavily gimped pvp cc.
5. Make pets more survivable in pvp, you get any half clever opponants and they simply focus fire on your pet and he's down in less than a gbc, even with the talent its very difficult to spare either the time or mana to res and heal your pet.
6. Remove the daze on hit on aspect of the cheetah, by selecting it we are all nerfing our dodge by 18% and attack power by a big chunk. Theres no need for the dazed penalty anymore especially since most melee classes run at 115% with talents these days
The problem is they have removed weaknesses of just about every other class and completely ignored the hunters weaknesses which are highly exploitable. We don't want to be overpowered we just want to have a fair run of the game. With hybrids matching us for dps its about time the favour was returned and we got some of their utilities and survivability. I don't call running away survivability.

I forgot to add that you can heal yourself and run at 115% too. More and more into the "you can't have it all" pile. The only people enjoying it seems to be the paladins, but i guess as long as your happy thats all that matters
Jan 1st 2009 9:50AM As usual loladins miss the point. you have absolute god mod every 5 mins which is just ruining the game for every other class. I have been pvping since hunters were fding to drop traps. I am an absolute superb duelist and can adapt to any class but there is no possible way to beat a paladin. You can't have insane dps both ranged and in melee. have insane surviviability with plate armour, your bubble, lay of hands. You can't insanely long single hit stuns that work from such range. Then have tricks to just completely ignore snares and traps. Add to that great mitigation and a shit load of health. Having a powerful skill that healths and does high damage on a low cd. It just doesn't work like that
I don't mind losing when I have a chance, but I and I bet 75% of the rest of the none paladin classes agree with me that been /facerolled by people using 3 skills and having absolute no chance of beating them is just lame. It pathetics. Thats why you are other powered and believe me you will get nerfed continually till either you lose your dps or you lose your survivability cos you can't have both and the travesty of what pvp will prove it.
Don't say l2play cos trust me I can play and have outskilled, outplayed and out tricked and killed more allies than i care to remember. All I ask is it a fair fight
Jan 1st 2009 4:49AM Seems that all the locks went crying and rolled loladins, yes you are all still loladins because your insanely over powered compared to every other class. If you can't with in your current state you must have had your nose amputated.
Let me give you an example .
Hunter sees paladin coming. Hunter drops frost trap sends pet in and fires off a couple of shots. the paladin stuns the hunter from 3 yards, he then walks around the trap with all the time in the world and stuns the hunter again before taking the hunter below 50% health in a split second with attack that also heals. This hunter is good, he pops deterence for all the good it will do, wingclips and disengages neatly over the frost trap and fires a concuss shot, a viper sting and decides to leg it. While popping a hs he was lucky enough to have. The paladin simply pops HoF and runs straight over the trap at 115% speed And hits the hunter in the back from 20 odd yards away. (when is melee not melee? lol). The hunter is back down to about 20% health with a paladin closing down fast. The hunter is a good kiter and is gradually wearing down the paladin, almost in kill shot range, one more hit, yes. Hits killshot, hmm, eh? oh the paladin has bubbled , 12 more seconds to run without been hit and even then i know his repentance cd will be back up and he still has plenty of time to pop in a heal and even use LoH.
thats why paladins are overpowered. Why can't paladins get this though their skulls, no wonder ever noob under the sun has rolled one.
Dec 17th 2008 7:40AM Personally i think arena is the worst thing ever to happen to wow. For the casual player or the unfortunate people who's class isn't really suited to close combat its just a pain in the behind.
If they want arena to be a true test of skill give everyone standard arena gear for their spec that is the same for everyone all season long and make the rewards like the achievement rewards. That way you can start arena half way through a season without been totally outgeared.
If it was up to me pvp gear would not exist. Everyone in bg's and arena would have the same standard gear, then people with skill but less time might stand a chance. Also not been an easy way to gear an alt we might get rid of a few of the afk'ers and people who queue up just to lose to get their points
