Sep 24th 2008 4:50PM How similar are 10-man raids to their 25-man counterparts? Will I be able to "practice" on certain fights in the 10-man settings, and then know basically how the fight will work with 25?
Also, since 10-man and 25-man tier 7 gear will have the same set bonuses, will these be shared across sets? For example, if I have 3 pieces of 10-man and 1 piece of 25-man, will I get the 4-piece bonus?
Aug 30th 2008 8:55AM "no min range, prot talent 'charge' allows charge in combat"
Wait, so does this allow it to be used in defensive stance? Because otherwise, I see it as fairly useless, I'd be dancing into battle stance to charge instead of zerker stance to intercept. Not a huge difference.
Aug 6th 2008 12:12PM What is Blizzard doing with old Outland gear other than spell damage/healing in order to make them usable for upcoming Death Knights and classes which need different stats now?
Jul 25th 2008 9:59PM Actually, it's somewhat of a relief, because now I don't have to worry about spending 3 points there if Bloodbath turns out to be good for AOE tanking.
Jun 28th 2008 9:23PM What do you call Bladestorm and Heroic Leap then?
May 22nd 2008 6:20PM Ok, sorry about that. They removed the tree so I couldn't check.
May 22nd 2008 5:03PM "Improved Shield Bash will buff Shield Slam damage"
I think you meant Shield Bash damage. Other than that, great read as always! Gives me great hope for protection warriors in Wrath.
May 4th 2008 2:08PM My first big surprise that I can remember came when I was a newly raiding 70 tank, fresh out of dungeons with just about the best blue tank gear I could find. I tanked the whole of Kara up to and including Prince, getting 4 upgrades on the run. It was a very cool feeling to do so well with gear that was so far below that of my other raid members.
My other surprise came also on my warrior and very recently in fact. I had been arms for my entire play time from 1-50, and again from 61-69 so I was very used to running an MS build with a two-handed weapon. Consequently, whenever in a raid and needing to DPS, I would throw on my 2h and slam-spam ftw. The big surprise came when I grabbed a couple of blue one-handers from random quests and drops and decided to try to DPS DW for a change. The change was so dramatic that I immediately DE'd my two-hander so that I'd never be tempted to use it again.
