Jun 29th 2011 9:06AM Cantina Crawls! Definitely my favourite memory. I was late to the entertainer scene, so I only got to experience two before the NGE brought it to an end. (I think it was the grouping changes in the NGE, or something like that, that made it impossible to do the crawls properly anymore.)
As for my main, my favourite memores are mainly around the first player city I was a part of. North Beach on Starsider. After a long session grinding my crafting skills, sitting around town chatting with my neighbours.
Jun 29th 2011 8:44AM @Borick Totally. For me, a sandbox game is a game where I can feel like I'm affecting the world. Like setting up a droid shop in pre-NGE SWG, or taking part in a player city. Or, in EVE, taking part in an entirely player-run economy. (Setting up planetary bases and my own starbases would be the same, but haven't gotten that far into EVE yet to experience it.) Pirates of the Burning Sea had some good sandbox elements as well as themepark elements, but it failed in other ways. I honestly can't think of any other examples.
Oct 11th 2008 3:03PM Just remember, most of that stuff will most likely be added in patches after Wrath, since it's not in the beta yet.
Oct 11th 2008 1:38PM I agree, she'd be great for a Maelstrom expansion pack. But, there's lots of powerful bad guys out there still. Well, maybe not 'lots', but at least a few. Besides the ones you mentioned, I can think of two just off the top of my head.
First is Kil'Jaeden. The Sunwell fight was just to knock him back into the well, to keep him from showing up on Azeroth, he's nowhere near dead. He created the Lich King, he's no weakling.
And then there's Sargeras. Sure, he's not active at the moment, but there's always the possibility of his return.
Oct 11th 2008 1:47AM It's team makeup.
Rogue, Mage, Priest = RMP
Warrior, warLock, Druid = WLD
Rogue, warLock, Druid = RLD
Oct 10th 2008 6:48PM Actually, most of the art is what takes up most of the space on the DVD. Item graphics and old-world changes are the only art included in the patch. World art, new mobs, new instances, etc. will all be on the DVD.
Oct 9th 2008 1:35PM Thanks, Miguel, that's reassuring at least.
Oct 9th 2008 1:24PM Personally, as a hunter, I'm loving what's coming in Wrath. It seems all the complaints have to do with arenas. Well, remember, some of us have no real interest in arenas at all.
Oct 9th 2008 11:17AM Cool idea. :)
Oct 9th 2008 11:15AM I've heard you need to actually have a flying mount to level to 80? So, doing dailies isn't an option then since they won't start bringing you money until level 80. Hopefully people can make 1000 by 77 then through normal quests.
I can have 1000 by 77... heck, I'll probably have 1000 by the time Wrath launches, but that's from the 70 dailies. If I was coming up fresh there's no way I'd have that support. And it's still annoying as that's 1000 I could be putting towards my epic flyer.
