May 18th 2009 5:55PM My guild is having a very similar problem, but the gbank has been solved. Our participation has been going down steadily with the release of 3.1, even though recruitment is up. the first week 3.1 was out, we had more raiders on than we could fit into the raid. Now we're lucky to have 10 on at a time, though never for long enough or the right combo for a 10m Uld. I try to schedule, post on our website, etc, nothing is helping.
Perhaps the tipping point is one of our officers getting his account info stolen and the evil doers stealing everything from our gbank. Perhaps we'll get it back, that would be nice. But if we break up, we won't have to worry about the gbank I guess.
Feb 5th 2009 4:19PM I really want to see head tracking (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd3-eiid-Uw) added in WoW. It seems like something that nVidia and Blizzard would have to get together about, like their current 3d crap. It wouldn't require 2x the graphics power and the glasses would only need IR LEDs, not flickery headacheness.
Dec 15th 2008 4:33PM Well, at least until the next patch, Hunters are the kings of DPS. Plus the ranged CC is great. My MM hunter friend I run with is pulling 2.5k dps in heroics w/o naxx gear. I'd pick hunter over rogue any day for a group. They even have great buffs too for AP, especially if their pet has howls and stuff.
Dec 15th 2008 4:29PM I wish I could find the rogues topping the damage charts. Doing heroics on my prot paladin I have yet to run with a rogue that does more than 1100dps, even on bosses. And I've run with more than few that were in T7 epics. Every other spec/class I've played has at least one example of a DPS out damaging me, except rogues. And I don't have any Naxx+ gear.
Nov 25th 2008 1:33PM ... "Please refer to the ability Revenge and Glyph of Revenge." ...
woop, you're right, sorry about that.
Nov 25th 2008 11:53AM I can't say for sure what a Death Knight tank would want, but Adam's paragraph of what stats mean what to each tank class is misleading/not complete.
Druid's avoidance comes completely from Dodging, Missing and Armor. They cannot block or parry. The talent Survival of the Fittest decreases their chance to be critically hit by 6%, which is over the 5.6% crit reduction needed for tanking boss mobs.
Paladins and Warriors gain less threat when they Parry, Dodge or are missed, but those are still very important stats to have, since it is unrealistic to have all mitigation done through those stats. Block and Armor are very important too.
Death Knights can't block, but the rest of the defensive stats are useful.
Nov 18th 2008 7:01PM They definately use (or used to use) HP blades. An HP vendor once told me they order several racks of blades (pre-installed in their chassis) per month. Makes sense with the huge number of realms (235 on the US realm status page) and huge number of concurrent connections they require. Plus websites and forums and armory... crazy!
