Jun 20th 2008 4:30PM Hey Chris what gaming company are you a lead developer at?
Jun 20th 2008 4:12PM A lot of you can sit here and scrutinize his take on WoW, but just remember he's the one developing games not you. If you think he's just a "flaming idiot" where do you work? Where's your lead game developer title?
I think he made great points, and his Karazhan comment wasn't directed to the hardcore or semi-hardcore raiders. Rather it was directed to the casual players who mainly solo their way to 70. The ones that don't have the time or luxury to play with 9/24 others.
Yes in that case Karazhan is a road block. Far a raiding instance it's a great instance that you can tell Blizzard but a lot of work into.
May 18th 2008 9:41AM I pre-ordered the game, I was accepted in the Early Access program and yes I did play the game yesterday. First off I will say this, AoC is a very interesting and unique mmo-rpg that has a lot of potential to be great. The reason I say potential is the mere fact you will need the latest graphics card to really be able to enjoy playing this game. That is the main reason I will be going back to WoW.
May 15th 2008 7:28PM Nizari,
You're an idiot, you obviously know little about online media and how the ad/banner system works. So before you go around making inane comment L2Google. I've worked in online media since the beginning and it's much more in depth the your typical CPM = Cost Per Thousand.
Depending on the companies ad campaign they may opt for a CPA or CPC, again all depending on their campaign. If that company opted for a CPM and there is a pathetic blog post like Adam's generating extremely high CPM and 0 click through rates, that will show on their reports.
Think before you post you friggin' idiot.
May 8th 2008 2:20PM It's Blizzard poor introduction of the Arena system that has truly tainted PvP as a whole. Before the Arena system, TBC and the change of Honor Points, PvP achievement was a measure pure dedication (just like it was in PvE). Sure "EVERY" didn't have to be the extremely elite to get the best title/gear but with enough time put in you could achieve those titles or tier sets. If you ask me I think the achievements in both PvE and PvP were pretty equal back then. And if haven't played this game at the very least of Jan 05 then your opinion holds little weight.
Basically in a nutshell the Arena system had many loop wholes that let a lot of people exploit ways of getting their gear. Blizzard tried to make changed along the way but nothing ever set in place to truly make the Arena system honorable. I'm not saying when raiding guilds farmed BT they didn't let a few slip in to just gear up easy. But how many times have you seen one of those guilds posting in trade: "WTS full 5/5 T6 5000g, pst for info". Simple answer if you don't. But on the other side of the fence every few minutes you see: "WTS 1000 arena points 750g, pst for info". Or even worse the win traders!
Blizzard screwed up a potentially good system. With all this ruckus about PvP vs PvE gear/nerfs, Blizzard is it's own kiss of death, and is only making AoC/Wars launch that much sweeter. I'm not saying those 2 mmo's will knock Blizzard off the top but Blizzard only has itself to blame for lose revenue.
