Oct 10th 2008 5:46PM If I remember right, my prot warrior's Concussion Blow still works when Disarmed, I imagine a paly's Hammer of Justice would too. Disarm does seem OP (hopefully will at least get nerfed to 5 seconds) but there's hope.

Night Elves can shadowmeld (form of stealth), so stealth being a rogue-only thing isn't true. Mages have invisibility and anyone can consume an invisibility potion, so stealth isn't exclusive to rogues (although done best by them by far). One of my 70s is a rogue, and I think it's weird for a rogue to have some kind of Misdirect ability...other than Distract. If this addition is because of some PvE need, I suggest Blizzard nerf the cooldown on the hunter misdirect. Of course I also think warrior Taunt should work on other players and paladin Turn Undead should work on Forsaken players...and Spell Reflect should actually work...*sigh* got myself started...
I had to think on this one. Counting classes only and not professions (thinking engineer combat pets):
Warlock (summoned pets)
Mage (water elemental)
Shaman (fire elemental, water elemental)
Fair to say majority, but not most, classes have pets of some kind they can use.
Oct 1st 2008 3:54AM I'm glad Blizzard reversed itself. I could see good points for the reset but overall thought the players themselves would not want the wipe.
I have to say this though: we have 6 weeks before Wrath hits. You have 6 weeks to spend your honor and marks. Blizzard had said they were going to offer new items specifically to use up your honor and marks on, and they made their announcement about the reset a week ago. It amazes me that some people have already decided to use up their honor/marks before even finding out what the new rewards Blizzard was going to offer were.
Jul 12th 2008 1:20PM I spend very little time in Trade channel, I mostly use the AH. But I strongly dislike when things are ridiculously overpriced. At these times I'll hit the Trade channel and sell bargain basement. A primal life costs me only time to assemble; I can probably get 4-5 in an hour (I haven't timed it). They used to be about 18g each, now they're about 35g each. I can list them for 32-33g and easily move them, but if they're 40g+, I'd rather help out my faction (in my mind) and sell them in Trade for a price I'm comfortable with...and I've still turned a pure profit.
Jul 8th 2008 10:51AM My main's RP storyline is he grew up in Westfall and had his family farm burned to the ground by the group that would eventually become the Defias, because he wouldn't pay them "protection money". I thought this would be a fitting angle to take because, while Van Cleef et al were wronged and went off on their own, as a new "organization" they would have had a very hard time getting their actions against Stormwind off the ground. Enter the local crime organizations. "If you agree to help us pay back Stormwind for what they've done to us, we'll help you out on your various 'business ventures'." You take some bitter stonemasons wanting revenge, put them with petty but organized thugs, and bam you've got the Defias. :-D
May 22nd 2008 6:31PM One guy started referring to Isle of Quel'Danas as "Stupid Island" and it quickly stuck.
We have a mage named Pona whose battle cry is "Pwna Power!"
One guild member plays a holy paladin and a hunter. In raids he gets distracted sometimes and will forget to turn off either Righteous Fury or Aspect of the Pack...hence my reminder now to "turn off Righteous Pack!"
Lately I've been announcing whether I'm gun-pulling or "face pulling"...I don't know what the deal is lately but just getting close enough to gun-pull I end up face pulling. It actually works well, considering I'm a protection warrior.
Finally, my main being a human male, and me also being a human male, as a reward for new people who haven't heard it, or as punishment for someone being annoying, or just because I feel like it, occasionally over vent I'll recite the entire "So I have this idea for a movie..." joke. Which I'm told sounds pretty close to dead-on with the character's voice. :)
May 12th 2008 6:30PM Memory issues apply as much to Macs as to any other computer. 512 MB RAM will cripple you. Also, laptops (I hesitate to say always, but let's say "the vast majority of them") do not have dedicated video memory; they share the memory of the computer. That will make things even worse.
I have a dual G4 1.42 GHz Macintosh (about 5 years old), 2 GB RAM, with an nVidia GeForce 4 4400(?) with 128 MB of dedicated video RAM. It's barely playable in Karazhan especially on the grand staircase, but it performs similarly to my MacBook which is only a couple of years old...because the desktop dual G4 has twice the overall memory and the video card has its own memory.
Side note: I think my desktop Mac could probably handle the game if not for the system bus, which is 67 MHz. That meant nothing until I found out I can get a new 24" iMac with...a 1066 MHz system bus. That's about 16x more information that can be pushed from the processor. And to my knowledge, you can't just replace a system bus. *sigh*
You and I both need new computers. :-\
