Galcon Labs in the App Store now {TUAW.com}

Oct 4th 2009 1:36PM Yep, looks like sort of stuck my foot in my mouth. The price is there buried in the third paragraph. Had I have read the article in it's entirety, I would have eventually found the price down there in an unrelated sentence. I'm reading tuaw from thier app which doesn't play nice for me with the app store so I had to go find it in the store. Until well after this article was published even the developer hadn't bothered to put a price on their site.

My point was that tuaw isn't writing these articles for their health and the links in the article are monetized. How hard is it to make the relevant details obvious to make sales leads easier? Galcon origionally sold for $$ and was very over priced.

Jun 18th 2009 8:38AM Where are the iTunes links? Surely you guys have an affiliate account.

Jan 6th 2009 1:04PM Is it me, or are the Engadget guys being jerks? Why are some hardcore Mac users so intolerant of others, especially on the west coast? The Mac user base is a lot larger now and a lot more diverse and good office applications are important.

Forum post of the day: A monetary slap in the face {WoW}

Aug 1st 2008 1:03PM About a week or two ago, someone was asking in Trade for cobra hide leggings (their mats) and I told them I was willing to make them and I even traveled to Org where they were. This asshole barely gave a thanks and didn't even bother to tip. I would have had to burn a hearth stone cooldown to get back to Shat if a very nice mage hadn't have offered to port me for getting screwed bother other player.

It wasn't even about the money, as I sent the Mage 15G in a mail as thanks. I just couldn't believe that someone would be so selfish and such a prick as to not even bother to tip.

Huntsville, Alabama Apple Store will open on Saturday {TUAW.com}

May 28th 2008 1:37PM I grew up in Birmingham and currently reside in Huntsville. While Birmingham is a larger market, the "affluent" there is only old money. If it doesn't involve a bank or a hospital, you will be hard pressed to find a computer, let alone a Mac, used by anyone but the youngest who live there. It is what it is... Birmingham is more of a blue collar place and many people there just don't see the need for a computer to be part of their lives.

My 2 cents...

Officers' Quarters: Jerk message of the day {WoW}

May 19th 2008 3:11PM > Getting ready for another load of comments about people
> being too easily offended and the evils of political
> correctness. If it wasn't so sad it would be laughable how
> people try to excuse discrimination, prejudice and racism by
> just bringing up the words "political correctness."

> Reminds me of a certain president and "9/11."

I'll bite. I'm assuming that you are responding to the comments on Adam Holsky's post about the "Rosa Parks Took My Seat" arena name?

If you want to argue about the problem of the oversensitive American culture, I'll be glad to debate with you why these pansies are turning our nation into a snotty nosed, sniveling group of people who's world is turned upside down any and every time anyone makes a comment they don't like. After years of this, it's beginning to border on the criminal. These people whine and moan until someone censors those who speak their mind.

You bring up Bush and 9/11 as an example of this, but the real censors in this culture, the real people who encroach on our freedom, the real people who can see nothing but skin color, sexual preference and males or females are the very people bitching and moaning about it anytime anyone they disagree happens to open their mouth.

I know it's an often used term, but it's pure Stalinism. Those you disagree with should be silenced. One way or another.

Your entire article was a post acting as if you knew something about the arena team players or about what they were thinking. Explain the difference, please.

Even better, relate to us just a single life event you've experienced that makes you a valid arbiter of what is or isn't racist.

(sorry if this is a repost... my browser is acting up.)

Racism in arena names {WoW}

May 13th 2008 6:13PM It think you put it very succinctly. The humor here is the ludicrous idea that any white person would actually think, "Rosa Parks stole my seat." The problem here is that you have people like Adam who's white guilt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_guilt - see paragraph three) button is just a hair trigger away from firing at anything that they deem racist.
