Breakfast Topic: Should Death Knights get unique racial abilities? {WoW}

Jun 2nd 2008 7:06AM Right I havn't read every reply here but am I missing something here? Surely what makes racials racials is the fact that they are specific to a race? Hence the name.

How can a class have racials...and more to the point, if you remove the racials from a certain class and then replace them with class abilities, isn't that JUST removing racials?

I mean you could say this about any class. What if when they made hunters they decided that they wouldn't give them racials and instead would give them the ability to train their pets? You wouldn't be giving hunters special racials, just a couple of extra abilities and then completly removing racials.

Phat Loot Phriday: Zhar'doom, Greatstaff of the Devourer {WoW}

May 27th 2008 9:45AM "I don't think the Zergs and the Felhunters are related. If anything the Zergs share a common bond with the Silithid..."

Well assumeing the Xel'Naga did infact use the Silithid as the basis for genetically engineering the zerg as they obviously did with the Draenai to create the Protoss then it is quite possible that the Silithid could have gone through the portal to Draenor and hovered up some Naga and Felhunters and added them to the zerg genome to create the 2 famous Felhunter and Nagaesc looks that they have.

May 27th 2008 9:37AM I don't get it, unless this is some heavily disguised sarcasm...surely there was never any debate wether Starcraft and Warcraft take place in the same universe?

What with them featureing the exact same races and very similair architecture and styles. Wouldn't the real conspiracy be that they aren't the same universe?

Racism in arena names {WoW}

May 14th 2008 6:37AM I have to say I find the Arena Team name pretty funny. I mean I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure the guy/girl who came up with it was not racist rather he/she finds it amusing to be deliberately offensive just to wind up overly sensitive people.

The fact that it's quite an intelligent referance only adds to the humour as you'll find a large proportion of people don't really understand what they are offended about.

It kind of reminds me of Chris Morris who effectivly built his career on these types of jokes. Making jokes that appeared to be extremely offensive but were actually mocking the reactionary people who got so worked up by them.

Examples like the time when he convinced a bunch of C list celebirities to speak out against new technology that let online peadophiles touch children over through their keyboard or getting a politician to codemn the actions of a Japanese company manufactureing a device that lets you smoke weed through a dog.
