Mar 29th 2011 11:33AM "It was as if 4chan invaded WoW."
Shows your lack of knowledge of 4chan else then /b/.
Nov 16th 2010 4:03PM Seare, you enjoy grinds. You enjoy grinding levels from 1 to the level cap.
My point was, this isn't really a grind at all, which is the problem. No I'm not saying I enjoyed traveling around in any MMO looking for resources, I'm saying I enjoyed the finished product and the feeling of satisfaction I got from it. Where as I truly felt that I made something. Sending your crew mates to gather materials and then sending them to make stuff takes the fun out of crafting in my opinion.
Nov 16th 2010 3:56PM Luckyspades, do you really think WoW players aren't going to play this? This game was developed with them in mind. It would be stupid if it wasn't.
Nov 16th 2010 3:38PM You really hit the nail on the coffin for me.
This isn't like other crafting systems, people are happy because they're taking away the "grind" but that's part of the fun of crafting. Gathering materials and putting it together, instantaneously. Sending my crew mates to gather material and then telling to start working on something doesn't sound fun to me at all.
You're right though the game isn't out and so I don't know all the facts, or how it plays in to gameplay.
But as they say, why fix what isn't broken?

You could have googled "ffxiv retail patch mirror" and found a mirror. I've had router problems with plenty of MMO's but that's just how it works sometimes. I agree with Relgoth it didn't seem like you wanted to really play the game. Which is fine but realize someone experiences these problems with every MMO.
Jul 14th 2010 6:29PM Yeah that's the thing, we don't know much about the nitty gritty with this game.
Jul 14th 2010 5:02PM I really enjoy Bioware games but I think the gaming world as a whole is taking a big leap of faith when it comes to them and SWTOR.
Jul 10th 2010 2:14PM Every MMO is storyline driven, definitely WoW. I'm guessing you don't know the story because you don't read the quests, the only thing different about this game is that you have unique quests to your classes.
This game will still have "kill x amount of _____" quests and other mindless quests. I love ME and DA:O, those aren't MMO's.
Jul 10th 2010 1:40PM I really want to like this game, no really. I REALLY REALLY want to like this game. I want the same experiences I had in EQ2 and WoW in this game, making friends, running dungeons, learning about my class and so on. So far from what I've seen it's close but with things like bots it makes me wonder how much social interaction I'll have. I don't want solo through the entire leveling experience. I want group quests where I'll die if I try and do it myself.
Honestly I just want an MMO!
Jul 6th 2010 3:00AM Seriously stop with this, if it wasn't for Res classes would still one shot people.
