Jan 14th 2011 10:56AM Tried out some of the "Ville" games last night.
Nothing I am going to pay for. They try really hard to get you to invite other people, and to get you to pay money for things, but they each seem playable enough.
They also have an EVE like feel to them. You can leave them alone with tasks that take days to complete and come back to them later.
Jan 13th 2011 3:38PM I am a PSN+ subscriber so I wouldn't want to hack my PS3 anyways. Lotsa free games for $60 a year. I have only been on for 3 weeks and the free keeps on coming. (This was probably part of Sony's plan for PSN+ a slight piracy deterrent?)
Now that does not mean I don't want to see it get hacked (more) But At this point I can take it or leave it.
Jan 13th 2011 3:32PM @Prboi Well it depends on how they do the reboot.
If they are trying to recreate the original story, but better... Then it might be mainly original characters.
If they are trying to make a different story all together then I assume any character is fair game.
And in the end, they can make it work however they want it to work. 1/3 old school, 1/3 newish, 1/3 brand new characters.
I personally have no issues if it's the original 12? characters.
Jan 13th 2011 3:29PM @Faenix I dislike this practice also.
I don't mind it if it's like "Alan Wake" where it is free stuff buyers WILL be getting, but I dislike the announcement of more stuff that needs to be paid for.
It really undervalues the game for me, and just makes me want to wait 8 months for the special edition. $40 with a lot of DLC already added.
Jan 13th 2011 3:27PM seriously if they recolored Scorpion/subzero/reptile 26 times I would probably be happy. Quantity over quality baby.
Actually make it so I can call upon the "Toasty" guy as much as I want. AND make an easter Egg of Dan Trachtenberg doing "Video Games" and I will be very happy.
Jan 10th 2011 4:06PM @Lerkero Virtual Boy had a Slider also. It deepened and lessened the 3D effect.
BTW this is only a small amount of people, but my family of 5 and many friends played the Virtual boy for hours on end. No headaches. Ever. Could just be we were all lucky, but figured I would throw that in there.
Dec 22nd 2010 11:09AM @Dougtastic That's when I got ME1 when it was $5 down from $45? . I had no interest, at the time, in playing, but I knew I was going to want to check it out at some point.. so i grabbed it.
I waited a year to play it. When I finally did.. Wow! awesome game.
Dec 13th 2010 12:43PM I really enjoy both games. They have their own 'things' going on that make them each equally god games in my eyes, but it's LoTRO that pulls me in.
LoTRO for the win.
Nov 2nd 2010 12:54PM I don't get it... this is how it always worked. Right?
I have only been using the digital install for a while now and it always came with all 3 of the cinematics.
I just assumed this is how it would continue to work... is there something special about the Cata one? Is it a larger file?
It looks like its the shortest of the 3?
Bah anyways I am already sick of it from watching Blizzcon. Dear goodness!
