May 31st 2010 3:04PM Your description of the meaning of Memorial Day is very uninformed, you may want to look it up and change it in the article. The point of the day is to honor those who have fallen in battle and payed the ultimate price, not simply because they are serving or have served.
Aug 25th 2009 3:52PM I just wanted to take a second and say thanks Allison for all the work you put into this column. I wish I had something like this when I was just a young cow starting out in the world. It would have helped a lot for sure particularly how you break down the feral attacks.
Aug 24th 2009 12:10PM Is there going to be any way to use summoning stones or warlock summoning if you join a cross server group for an instance?
Aug 4th 2009 4:39PM Well this is exciting!
First thing I'll do is log onto my druid an shapeshift about 100 times maybe try to run the 5-man although I expect "All instances are busy at the moment, please call again later" :-). Then immediately jump on my shammy, put on the BoA shoulders and level that guy up, the UI changes and the changes to resto sound great!
Jul 29th 2009 11:27AM The heirloom items downgrade to whatever armor type you start with. So for example you can get the mail shoulders for your hunter or shammy because they downgrade to leather till you hit 40. The same goes for the plate items, they downgrade to mail till you can wear plate.
Jul 29th 2009 9:15AM This discussion/argument is getting so tired. And this variation on the theme is more ridiculous than the rest because your actually pondering if the game has become to easy while you're equipped with two heirloom items. /facepalm Of course the game seems easier with those, that's what they are designed to do! I can already see the next version of this exact same theme once the next patch comes out and you equip the shoulders and chest that both grant improved experience.
If you're wearing heirloom items, already know the content from past leveling, can afford to buy your toon the best gear from the AH or otherwise farm it, and are getting runs through every dungeon from your guild, then yes you have made the very astute observation that the content is much easier for you now that it was when you first started.
Imagine that you've just picked up the game and are exploring it for the first time, are struggling to buy your level 6 abilities after farming grey items that sell for two to four copper with a backpack and a four slot bag if your lucky. Look around and see that 99% of all the players are at cap and all the areas you're running around in are completely vacant except for the players like you who are running into these swirly gates with someone who is six times your level and you can't even find someone to quest with, let alone a full group to actually do an instance with. If you're in this position then guess what... the game is really hard for you!
If you think it's to easy, then ditch all your fancy ass hand-me-downs and reroll the opposite faction on a PVP server and then work your ass off for the next three to four months to hit cap and then come back and tell us how easy it was.
Jun 19th 2009 9:35AM Cool feature but I wonder how many twinks will use it. By definition they're already very good at parking a toon at a certain level so they can be op in bg's. (Although I was under the impression that bg's are queued by gear level, I could be wrong though). I guess it'll make running instances to get better bop gear easier with less struggle staying out of the exp bubble.
Jun 18th 2009 4:13PM Fair enough, thanks for the reply. I'd just hate for them to go overboard since they didn't do the kind of damage to the mana bar that they wanted to in the last patch.
Jun 18th 2009 4:03PM ...Druids and Priests will feel a regeneration nerf, but I think they can afford it.
Care to expound on this remark, what great evidence led you to this conclusion?
Jun 5th 2009 12:47PM The forward flipping underwater epic is pure genius. I love it!
