Interesting wording on this one... Wrath by Xmas anyone?
Jul 22nd 2008 6:06PM I think the new gems are quite sexy, even if the green ones will resocket all my hard earned epic cuts.

Yeah I guess in your situation it sucks, for me I have tanked several progression fights for my guild as of late; after these changes go through with changes on top of that I think we will be sitting very well in deed.
Crushing blows are going away, Defense will come solely from gear, threat baseline for all tanking capable classes went up, with the Protection/Tanking trees adding more threat but vastly larger survivability for warriors and paladins at least, have not looked at druids and still sorting out the Deathknights.
Things are changing, from what i see for the better.
Jul 18th 2008 8:27PM Single Target threat isn't a factor but now we have more options. paladin tanking is fun it is now more diverse, and we have more tools to use. I will admit lack of an oh-crap button beyond LoH hurts but I am not a trash tank and never have been.
If anything the rules for tanking are changing, we won't need spell damage in the expansion like we do now, allowing us more freedom to gear ourselves. Hell we can use warrior tank weapons and still gain a sizeable benefit from it. Things are better now, and we have internal synergy.
These are all good things.
Jul 18th 2008 6:36PM I am going to go on a limb and say that you are:
1) Over reacting to this news.
2) We need another spammable threat button for single target threat.
3) We now have more options to gear ourselves up, we still get spell damage from tank gear; this is very good.
4) With the overlap on Holy Shield now, it is not exactly critical to hit HS whenever the cooldown is up. Plus with Crushing Blows either going away or greatly diminished it becomes more of a pure threat/mitigation button now then a critical life saver.
Jul 18th 2008 2:05PM I am pleased with the current changes thus far.
Shield of Righteousness, yes please.
Jul 18th 2008 11:04AM I am very interested in what the gems will be like as a Jewelcrafter. JC was the frist crafting skill i actually enjoyed and felt very useful all throughout the current expansion. I hope they throw in some surprises in WotLK to spice things up though.
Maybe more actual Jewelty recipes perhaps that don't suck or are just resistance pieces?
Jul 18th 2008 11:01AM I enjoyed Beta and Live in BC, it was fun and either way the real fun will be leveling with my friends and girlfriend when the expansion goes live :)
I will just be better prepared, if I get in ;)
Jul 18th 2008 10:49AM I am pretty sure EU already went out earlier in the day.
