Hi, remember me? I've been here since 2004 {WoW}

Mar 9th 2012 1:21PM The resurrected accounts do not get the mount: People who RE-INVITE OTHERS GET THE MOUNT. So, all you old school players probably know plenty of people that quit the game. Ressurrect them and there is you mount!

I pity the new players: They do not have access to the mount because everyone they know from their past 2 months of play is still in-game and thus cannot be resurrected :*(

Does gender matter when designing your user interface? {WoW}

Mar 6th 2012 5:53PM The link to WoWInterface is no longer live... At least I still found a screenie.

Click, but mind you: What has been seen can never be unseen.

Mar 2nd 2012 1:15PM I often wonder how undead rogues can approach in stealth... You can smell them from a mile away, so as long as you stand with your back into the wind, you should be perfectly safe.

Breakfast Topic: What do you think about the current Raid Finder loot rules? {WoW}

Feb 24th 2012 8:16AM I am ashamed to say that my guild (all very nice people... but maybe too nice (to eachother)) tends to run together and needs tier tokens for eachother. I tried arguing about it in guildchat, but somehow the arguments don't land with everyone. ("Why is it like cheating when the loot system allows us to do this?")

I love my guild, but its one of the reasons I tend to solo-queue for LFR; I don't want to be part of this behaviour (though other guilds do the same, so I am victim of it).

Needing should make an item soulbound and gear should not have a vendor value. Taking away the incentive to need stuff you don't need is the only way to prevent it from happening, I suppose.

Blue Posts: MoP account-wide achievements, phasing, authenticator troubles, Battle.net Balance {WoW}

Feb 7th 2012 4:10AM My druid is a very peaceloving character who does not favor the Horde that much over Alliance. I have 0 HKs on that character and she'd dread the thought of having the achievement for 100k kills that my main has.

I am an achievement hunter on my main and some achies ended up on alts (when our raid needed a tank rather than a hunter), so having those on my hunter too would be nice. But, I'm not as enthusiastic about account wide as you lot. I fear that my characters will be less unique, more tools to reach a player goal rather than having a player help reach the character's goals.

My druid has travelled to all corners of the world, talking with druids regardless of faction and celebrating the moon. She proudly wears the title "the Elder". My rogue couldn't be @rsed: if something does not involve stabbing stuff, he stays in Orgrimmar. Why would that character deserve credit for something he has not done?

tl;dr: My characters explore the world, each one individually and on their own way, with their own goals. I hope their uniqueness will not get lost.

The Queue: Dwarves, the answer to everything {WoW}

Jan 17th 2012 4:09PM "Given that, there's no reason to restrict the creativity -- thus, pandarens."

I hate nitpicking, but here I had to jump in: The plural for Pandaren is Pandaren...

You've made this mistake more often and as the Major website of choice for many WoW fans, I think you should at least know how to type the races correctly.
There are no worgens, taurens, sheeps and there are no pandarens. You had a good example: the person that asked the question typed it right!

Known issues from the Darkmoon Faire {WoW}

Jan 2nd 2012 7:34PM They reset all quests, because its a monthly reset. So unless you completed a former quest, the quests reset, including your progress on them. So unless you handed in those tokens before reset (which you haven't), they reset. Unless you got the full achie for handing in all the different drop-thingies, your achie reset.

Its unfortunate, but this monthly quest thing has now made its first appearance on the live servers. Bugs were bound to happen, they will be fixed, and hopefully you'll get your tokens back as well as the parts of achies you already had checked.

If not, then remember: DMF is in town every single month till WoW dies, plenty of time to get your goodies.

Breakfast Topic: Are heroics really heroic? {WoW}

Dec 29th 2011 8:26AM In the TBC ones you had to do what you did, only to survive, not to just breeze through. There were places that were hard to run without a hunter / mage because some trashpacks needed proper chain CCing.
Also, the people that entered those heroics, really grinded the rep to be allowed to run them and knew the normal versions by heart. And for every group of heroic you had to grind the rep of the associated faction to be able to get the key.

Its not that players got better, in the contrary: players got lazier due to the "nerf" of HCs and the LFGtool. Blizz needed to make them easier due to that tool, otherwise no PUG would survive. In TBC I spent ages waiting for groups in tradechannel and then got invited to those of which people knew me and knew what I could do.

I like the LFGTool though, because it reduced the waittime for DPS tremendously. The casualization (is that a word?) of HCs (and thus the lack of need to really know how to get 95% or more out of you char only to live through one) is just a result of it.

Breakfast Topic: How would you revamp Outland? {WoW}

Nov 5th 2011 8:41AM Have other chunks of rock with stuff on it orbit above it, around it, etc... with 90-95 content. Some invasion maybe? Then revamp a bit of the 60-70 experience, weave in some quests about the invasion, and use Shatt as a hub for the 90-95 experience.
