Breakfast Topic: The most memorable raid interruption {WoW}

Mar 29th 2011 11:47AM I'm not sure where you got that I shot any rounds at all.

Breakfast Topic: The most memorable raid interruption {WoW}

Mar 18th 2011 11:42AM "AFK, burglar"

Then my roommate keyed up on his machine, and said, "me too." And from what I was told afterwards, you could distinctly hear the action on my 12 gauge as I pumped it going by his room.

Turned out there wasn't a burglar. But everyone knows not to try to break into my place now.

Ready Check: Run speed is nearly a requirement {WoW}

Mar 11th 2011 3:59PM Actually, I tend to leave it on rather than Inner Fire, as discipline.

Ready Check: Run speed is nearly a requirement {WoW}

Mar 11th 2011 2:24PM Also Inner Focus for priests, 10%.

Addon Spotlight: 2 addons by Shackleford {WoW}

Mar 10th 2011 8:04PM RUSTY Shackleford... if that is your real name?

The OverAchiever: Farewell to The Exalted {WoW}

Feb 10th 2011 5:59PM Raising it to 50? No problem. Taking it away from people who already had it? Problem.

It isn't like this hasn't come up before with "the Explorer."

Officers' Quarters: Mailbox roundup 3 -- guild leadership {WoW}

Feb 7th 2011 3:33PM It's usually easier to work on things with the guild leader and other officers like DPS. It's a simple argument. "Everyone needs more DPS. We're supposed to be the leaders, and leading by example. That means we need to show improvement ourselves, and then tell the others how we did it. If we can tell them, 'we all increased 10% this way, and (guild leader) got a 100% increase', then we should have no trouble selling it. Nothing sells like success." (You can hand-wave your part away by saying that you've always done these things.)

Officers' Quarters: Choice and consequence {WoW}

Jan 31st 2011 11:03AM Also, as an officer: I don't do ultimatums. I'll pick for you, and you won't like it.

If the form of the ultimatum is, "do X or I'll /gquit", I'll save you the time and give you a /gkick as soon as it rolls across my screen. It's the same for other officers. You don't get a guild veto. Even if you are in the right, if you try to take over, I'm getting rid of you before it snowballs.

Raid Rx: 4 more healing lessons {WoW}

Jan 28th 2011 5:03PM I'm one of those "difficult" healers, in that I won't EZ-mode you through at the expense of my mana pool. I do a lot of DPS healing, though. You know what I want to see?

Movement
Cooldowns being used
"Recently Bandaged" debuffs

If I see those, then the player is doing what he reasonably can to help me, and the rest is my job. If he's never moved since the tank charged, hasn't popped a cooldown that didn't translate straight into 'uber nukz", didnt even show up with any bandages in his bag, and is standing in fire? He's dead.
