Are Paladins going to get nerfed? {WoW}

Feb 19th 2009 7:16AM You do realize that Paladin tanking only became truly viable in patch 2.3 right?

The Glider outcome and copyright law {WoW}

Feb 4th 2009 11:08PM Excellent rebuttal :)

Most people dont think anything through with logic, those that do are few and far between.

I think it is a dangerous road they are taking, only time will tell the true ramifications of this.

Sadly when it does affect people personally(on the receiving end from said verdict) then they will be the ones bitching and moaning they are being injustly accused/abused by the very verdict they cheered.

Crowd Control to return in future instances {WoW}

Jan 27th 2009 10:55AM My main is actually a healer, but i also have a tank and dpser @ 80

No cc doesnt bother me at all then again i been playing this game for 4 years now and all i am use to seeing is every pull being CC

CC can still be used but most tanks have too much pride too use it as well as grps put a lot of pressure for no CC's to be used after all if the grp wipes it's not the dpsers fault it is either the Tanks or the healers, at least in every instance I have done that seems to be the case. Tank dies he was either under geared or the healer sucks.

I think the no cc being used put more stress on the healers than anyone else

Crowd Control to return in future instances {WoW}

Jan 26th 2009 7:25PM See i disagree with people really wanting CC, because as a pally tank last xpac, i took CC'ers and they were glad not to do it. They increased the aoe capabilities of Warriors and Druids because Paladins became the king of 5 mans.

Who cares about 5 mans, why would you want really challenging 5 mans? Unless the gear is on par with the challenge involved...no ty. Currently heroic gear is on par with the challenge.

Heroics in bc were too hard when they first came out vs the reward they gave. And i am happy to not see it that way this time around.

The real problem is they finally cut the time tax required to accomplish goals, and perhaps for the people that enjoy spending most of their free time on this game that equates to the game becoming easy and boring fast. On my side i am happy it means i spend my time getting more done in my everyday life without having to spend my playing time farming for hours. For those of you that miss that, more power to you, I dont and i am very sure a great many people dont. I have met so many people that are finally getting to see what raiding is all about and you know what, i am glad that they are getting a taste of what i got to experience although not with the same challenge.

Personally i think they should mmake a raid that is impossible i repeat IMPOSSIBLE to beat so you can have those hardcore people who need to wave their epeens and think of how glorius they are something to bang their head on their desk for hours over. Then nerf it just before the next content patch.

People dont want things too easy and they dont want things too hard. The only people pissed off right now (at least imo the vast majority of those people) are the ones dedicating far too much time to this game

Peace

Wrath Beta patch notes: Paladin part IV - the Protection tree {WoW}

Jul 19th 2008 6:49PM Well though out post. Not sure that you are 100% accurate however i definitely agree with you it is more of a shift with teh same result than anything.

I havent really checked gear or anything for Wrath so i am not sure. However i do agree that all tanks should be able to tank a boss without worry. I find it funny they add a tank with no shield in plate that may be better suited at tanking bosses then us. It seems rather unfair.

my 2 cents and great post

Wrath Beta patch notes: Paladin part IV - the Protection tree {WoW}

Jul 19th 2008 6:41PM Yea i knwo what you meant but what i am saying is you are still going to be unlikely to change up a weapon with lets say 236 spell dmg for an extra 10 stamina ineffect you'd be losing 233 spell dmg ( with outtaking all the math into account from the 16% bonus etc) just simple quick numbers.

I dont know about you but i really havent ever found myself ever having to Focus on my gear for spell dmg so long as i had a caster weapon.

The Stamina conversion i think is really only aimed at taking + spell dmg off of plate gear... in the end i am not sure it is really is meant for added threat as much as it is to compensate for the loss of the spell dmg off of the gear

Jul 19th 2008 5:50PM The Stamina to Spell Dmg is going to be very good but... i dont see 30% stam balancing out the spell dmg lost from a casterweapon if you choose a more tank style weapon.

Though alot of itemization is changing In wrath so we will have to wait and see how that works out

Jul 19th 2008 5:40PM Of all the trees Prot had to be the most disappointing...and still leaves me with the feeling of being very Bloated.

As for the arguments about Aoe tank mitgation tank etc...I d argue that Warriors are being made to handle multiple mobs way better than before.

If warriors can be improved Big time in Multiple mobs i dont see why Blizz couldnt up the mitigation for pallies.

Anyway i dont see the prot tree really addressing any of the issues from Bc. Some small steps were taken..however it may just be the case of it's more noticeable in practice than on paper.

At the moment i cant really say i am all that impressed, hopefully as things move along my mind will be changed
