WoW Moviewatch: No Point: Stretching Time {WoW}

Feb 26th 2009 8:26PM @ Wubble69... and others saying the chance the music thing...

One of the things I've always respected zee baron for, is because he doesn't worry about alienating people, he uses the music he likes, he uses the movie styles he likes, he doesn't use music he doesn't like or thinks will fit, just because the majority of the WoW playing demographic likes that kind of music.

I mean I've personally found his lately movies fucking boring, just people walking, no where, to trance, but I respect him for sticking to what he enjoys making, if that makes sense? :) I think he makes movies for himself and if others like it too then cool, it's a bonus.

This new movie though is amazing, I love it! The music too, and people confuse this style of music, the style he puts into his movies, with the Euro-trash-bubble-gum-cheesy-trance when it's not at all that, but this is because people who don't listen to trance are saying these things or they would know the difference. If you don't like the music then fine, don't watch the movie, don't you think it's a bit silly to say "omg why can't Led Zeppelin play The Spice Girls music!?" ? Baron uses trance/techno/D&B, he doesn't use The Spice Girls, so why ask him to, why watch his movies, just go watch ones which have the music you like in then, d'oh :)

BTW, I'm in ATR, I'm flattered you like our music but, I just wanted to defend Baron's choice of music because I am someone who also likes VERY different music to what he uses in his movies, but also has a cross-over with him and likes that same kind of music he uses too, if I hated the music he used I don't think I would watch his movies, or if I did I wouldn't complain about them because I think that's a daft thing to do tbo. Make your own movies with music you like if you want other music ;)

15 Minutes of Fame: Where are they now? {WoW}

Jan 2nd 2009 1:55AM Ok I took some quick stats, of the 32 famous WoW players featured in 15 mins of fame:

18 = are still playing WoW
8 = are still playing WoW but have gone mega casual mode
6 = have quit WoW

Just was curious to know the breakdown, I find it interesting for some reason :)

Percula reveals future of BLIND {WoW}

Dec 29th 2008 10:31PM Music rocked, you damn kids want death metal on EVERYTHING /yawn! The music fitted perfectly for his movie! The only thing he did wrong, well not wrong exactly but the one thing it's a shame he didn't do, was there was no blood, it needs blood guts and gore in it. I'm half tempted to do a remix just to add blood!

Dec 28th 2008 1:30PM The music he used in the end though, in that trailer for the movie, was fantastic and worked really well with the visual too.

15 Minutes of Fame: Tamzin on being a girl gamer, movies, music {WoW}

Jun 5th 2008 7:15PM Lisa Poisso, good points. And to reiterate and clarify what I said in the interview... I was asked about being a girl in a male dominated game, it was just one question in the many questions I was asked, and for me it is no big deal, it's almost a none issue, the *only* issue, as I mentioned, is it does sometimes bring problems which a guy gamer would never face, you only have to read the comments here to see what I mean, I've been accused of using my sex to make my movies popular, and it's been stated that they are only popular because I am a girl (to my knowledge I am the only WoW player making movies like this so I can't see how my sex is what's making them popular tbo), of showing my tits and of being a whore and attention seeker using a low cut top, etc, when, of course, I've done none of those things, not even by a long shot. Couldn't resist poking fun at that Mat guy though and put a nice new pic for his crazy eyes :-P It's funny how I never made an issue of sex, but the people here commenting on the interview have so so so done big time. It really shows how hot this topic is, people seem so touchy about girls in WoW, especially if they have any kind of success of any kind, it must be because they're flashing their tits etc /sigh. I find that a truly disturbing yet insightful cultural phenomenon, one I wish one day will be long dead and buried! Because I for one want no part in a world that thinks in that way. Love and enjoy everyone, regardless of their sex, enjoy them for who they are, enjoy them for their sex, enjoy all aspects of them, nothing is negative about being a male or female in WoW in my opinion, it's just a game for having fun, there should be no issue at all, it's a shame that there so obviously is :-(

15 Minutes of Fame: Tamzin on being a girl gamer, movies, music {WoW}

Jun 4th 2008 3:58PM So true! We need more girls in games especially in western games! There's so many more girls in Asian WoW, my guild there we had 30% were girls. I'm going to go out on a limb here and give two reasons why I think that is, based on my experience in 3+ years of WoWing:

1 - generally speaking westerns girls are not into gaming, this is the primary reason.

2 - generally speaking, people (boys) are rude and crude on western realms, where as on Asian realms the guys are very polite towards girls. That's a cultural difference but it makes it a much more girl-friendly environment.

Jun 4th 2008 3:53PM Mats, wtf r u talking about, ofc I know what it's like, if you're assumed to be a boy then you're being treated like a boy, so you know what that is like, then when you are a girl you see the difference. I didn't say they're assuming I'm genderless did I? Which is what you imply, I said they assume I'm a guy.

Jun 4th 2008 10:06AM ""Tamzin: Being a girl in WoW is much more hard work and gets you many more problems than being a boy in WoW"

First line shows the stupidity of this post.

How on earth could you know that? Being a girl is the only thing you have ever been, how do you know that it's based on your femininity that you are having problems?"

For the first yeah I was in WoW no one knew I was a girl, it was before the era of vent, and I just let everyone think I was a girl. I was in one of the top guilds in EU, everyone assumed I was a boy. I just don't make statements at random you know sir, I speak from my own personal experience, once it was known I was a girl things changed a lot, a LOT! It's not a complaint, I'm just saying, you are wrong, I do know both sides, boy and girl, so I am qualified to compare. Also when you meet new people in WoW they always assume you are a boy, so until they learn otherwise they do not know you are a girl so you are a 'boy' until that moment, for example in my PvP teams, they think I'm a guy until they hear me on vent or learn it another way before then. And again, often a change in attitude follows. Not bad not good, it varies, just saying again, I DO know both sides you assume wrong when you say I don't know both sides.
